Blog # 3.

I really didn’t have any specific expectations going into college, I just knew that things were going to be very different from high school, and people were not going to be baby me around. My experience in Baruch College has kind of exceeded my expectations. I didn’t expect to get used to the college life so well, nor did i expect the amount of hard-core studying required to stay on top of some of my classes.

I think my first semester at Baruch went alright. I had plenty of fun with my new friends, and I kept myself sane the whole time and didn’t break down once. when the work got a little bit too much for me, everything found a way of working out for the better. i think i handled myself in a mature manner, and the only thing i regret is not studying PreCalc enough, and trying harder to pass the course before i dropped it.

If I could do my first semester all over again, I would probably join a student life club, but not one that required too much of my time and would make me go crazy,  but just a simple club to meet and get to know other people. I would also take advantage of all the tutoring services tat were available to me in order to pass my precalc class, and then maybe drop Art history in the begging of the semester and take theater or something.

I really don’t think I’ve changed a lot, or even at all since i started attending Baruch college. i would like to say that i grew a lot more independent than i used to be, but at times i find myself relying on my friends for information. But then again, i think i’m a lot more responsible if anything with my work. In high school, i was such a procrastinator because i found out that I worked very well under pressure, but in college, i haven’t put any pressure on myself and I see myself trying to get things done and out of my way.
