ID’s in Motion: Who am I?

by Marcus Cooper

Many people know me as Marcus Cooper. They can see that i am brown, of average height and weight, relatively reserved and quiet and possess a breath taking smile 🙂 . in many cases, however, people don’t know how outgoing and friendly i am. i make an effort to hear everyone’s story not to appear like a genuine person, but because i like to relate to individuals on a personal bases. i was a 3 sport athlete all of my life, and upstate NY has given me greater honesty, moral fiber and humility than any guy could ask for. i really don’t have any concerns this year. i do find, however, that i don’t like many of the professors here. not because they’re bad at their job, but because they are entirely detached from their positions. i wish they showed more interest in their students. this experience is inherently different than high school in that there are so many new freedoms and responsibilities. and these things can carry far greater consequences if abused. i hope to network as much as possible, but i find that most people here are, like myself, reserved. so i guess ill have to make more of an effort. after this year i expect to have fully adapted to city life. i expect to know all the procedures and offices necessary to solve whatever issues may come my way. and i expect to have a clearer focus on what i want out of life.
