Monologue

“Life aint a rehearsal, the camera’s always rolling.” One day while listening to music, these words caught my attention and I started thinking. I asked myself what was all the preparation for college about? Man, I like it here. I can’t believe that college has started already; it all still feels like a dream for some odd reason. I always looked forward to this life, these days and this feeling. Now that it’s here, it’s a little overwhelming but nonetheless enjoyable. Who am I? I think generalizing the person inside me as “I” would be very unfair. I consider myself a Muslim, an American, a son, a brother, a friend, a student or as my best friend defines me “a camera whore”. More seriously though, I am very grateful for my two best friends in this world. My elder brothers have been with me for of course my whole life. They are my strengths, my courage and definitely my better half. I want them to know that I am very grateful for all their help and all their guidance throughout the years. I also want them to know that I am there for them whenever and wherever they need me to be. The thought of being a college student is just such a strong idea but I believe that my experience so far has truly been rewarding and worthwhile. I honestly am looking forward to the memories of right now. So, by looking at all this exciting information one can easily say that the theme song on this part of my life is Over by Drake. Why? Because it is far from over… Too corny? I know.
