Charles N. Li Panel Discussion

The panel discussion wasn’t very interesting at times but was still a great event because Li himself was there to speak to students. The ideas of the panelists were all similar which was interesting because they were all from very different places. They were able to explain how where you are in the world influences the kind of person you become. It was easy to see that all of them were very smart, well rounded individuals who appreciated their roots, as well as other cultures as well. I enjoyed hearing about their take on finding your own identity because it is a topic that people our age can relate to well. I was able to see that even for them, there was a challenge in finding themselves and who they are. It helps to show how we as humans are all similar and can relate to one another. Other than that, I also enjoyed hearing their take on how big the differences are between the east and west. Charles Li was able to see very much of both and his presence was great for the discussion.
