Charles Li-Panel Discussion

by kevin.sanichara

To start off “The Bitter Sea” by Charles Li was quite an interesting book depecting the hardships he had to face to get to where he is today. It was quite interesting to see the man in person. However we were far up in the balcony so it was pretty boring that we could not see him to well or hear him for that matter. What I did hear though was that he was inspired heavily by his passion to do better for himself, so he wrote the book to record his memoirs of how “if he can make it, anyone can”. It  was quite inspirational to hear this. Overall the meeting was boring because we were far, but I did have some interest seeing him in person. After the discussion one of my friends told me she asked a question and got his autograph. If  had a question that I could ask him, it wold be “What inspired you to let Baruch students read your book?”
