Mishkin Gallery

by melissa.santos

Instead of going to the Rubin museum i decided to explore in our own backyard here at Baruch. I decided to go to the Mishkin Gallery. This gallery to me did not exist until yesterday in the afternoon. I went in expecting to be bored and to just look around at pictures that wouldnt catch my attention. I was completly wrong. This little gallery next to the 23rd street building is amazing, it has a collection of many abstract works from the late 19th century. Once i stepped into this room i was another person, a more artistic one. One of my close friends was with me and we were both discussing the art work and trying to explain to each other what we saw in the abstract work. I feel that not a lot of people know about this gallery and that Baruch should try and make  more well known atleast within the school community.
