Rubin Museum

The Rubin Museum was a very calm place perfect for the type of work that was displayed there. Much of it was religious and of different cultures which was interesting to me because I had never known what kind of work was actually in the Rubin. I felt pretty relaxed as I walked through each room and saw everything from Buddhist sculptures to different paintings depicting Jesus or other religious figures. This wide range of ideas left me with an open mind about peoples beliefs and how they express them artistically. I also really enjoyed the layout with the large spiral staircase and how it cut through each floor throughout the building which made the Rubin easy to navigate through. I left there thinking how I’d like to come back at some point and maybe even show other people who had little knowledge of the Rubin like I did.
