I think I am the kind of person that can be easy to get along with once you get to know me. I try not to take many things too seriously because it’s so easy to stress out, especially now while attending college and working. The times I get to spend with friends or even just alone listening to music or playing guitar are important to me because it helps to take my mind off the fact for a little while that I might have assignments due or work the next morning.
My first concern for Freshman year is that I’ll get lazy with my assignments and hurt my grade because I have a history of doing that in High School and I tend to forget to do homework sometimes. My second concern is that even with the conscious effort I’m putting in to take care of work I will not be able to handle the amount of assignments I get because we’ve only just begun and sometimes I doubt I can get things done on time. My third concern is for midterms and finals because I know they will probably be very difficult.
So far I think my Baruch experience will be different from High School in that I will need to have more responsibility in attending classes and taking care of things.
I think my first year will change me in that I may become more responsible and focused on the future. I will probably start thinking further about possible future careers as I become more serious about a possible major.
