Rubin Museum

The Rubin Museum was very neat and was very aesthetically pleasing. The staircase in the middle was very unique, and on the 2nd-3rd floor there was a eye shaped thing that was hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the spiral staircase that i thought was very neat. The overall atmosphere of the museum was very calm. What was very odd was that some pieces of art weren’t protected by a case, so people can touch and damage the work, and even though some floors didn’t allow photography to be taken, there was a lack of security to enforce the ban. I started taking pictures on the 5th floor, and about 3 to 4 pictures after, i realized that the walls said no photos. What was very interesting was:

A. There were a few exhibitions with Jesus and the Holy trinity depicted

B. There was a recreated Buddhist Shrine with authentic relics, statues, etc.

The Museum was very interesting and i would definitely go back. I learned that this was my first Asian-themed museum that i have gone to.
