I am a daughter, a cousin, an aunt, a sister, a friend, an enemy, and a student. I am Haitian, a girl, funny, bubbly and outgoing. I am the person who enters a room knowing no one and leaves with at least one friend. I am social, serious, and very observant. I am Ashley Claire Bazile.
My top 3 concerns about freshman year:
1. my grades – i am terrified of failing a class ( History class is kicking my butt right now )
2. KPA – i am really interested in a sorority called Kappa Phi Alpha & i hope i get into it
3. having fun – college is a growing up experience but i also wanna have fun during my time here at Baruch
My Baruch college experience, so far, is already different from my high school experience. I never had the freedom I have in college. I surely didn’t have classes that lasted over an hour in high school. I feel like college is a place where you grow up and your considered an adult. You have to be more responsible and remember to do things on your own. There are no teachers checking your homework everyday or telling you to put away your cell phone or they’ll take it from you. Your recognized as an adult and its either you pay attention in a class or you don’t, either way the professor is going to teach and there will be a text on the material. College has definitely made me realize I am no longer a little girl. I am an adult and shortly i will have a job and other responsibilities i wont always be able to depend on my mom or my teachers or my peers to remind me of.
