A person cannot be defined through adjectives and metaphors. I am the product of my actions and decisions. I am the product of my family’s love and guidance mixed in with my own perspectives and opinions. I am the sister who fixes problems before mom finds out. The daughter who can take care of herself. The friend who will always be there to help you pick up the pieces. I am the kid in the back of class who seems quiet but her mind is ever flowing with irrelevant, creative thoughts. I am a free thinking, odd individual wih a big heart and a sarcastic sense of humor armed with wit and a smile.
My top concerns about freshman year:
1. Failing lol High school habits are hard to kill. But I am getting better 🙂
2. Distancing from the friends I have grown to consider my family. We all go to different schools so its harder to see each other. I dont know what I would do without those people.
3. Going broke. College is mega expensive. I dont understand why we have to pay so much for a book that we will only use for like 5 months and then ditch. No bueno.
My College experience will be different from high school in multiple ways. In high school, socialization came hand in hand with every course you took. There were ways to sneak by and get through any given class with not much effort. College is quite the opposite.
Baruch will teach me to be an adult. I will be a more diligent student and develop better work habits. I will become more independent and responsible. I will become part of a bigger community and shape who I will be from this point out.
