it took me a while to find out how to post a blog, so i hope i’m posting it at the right place 🙁
a. Tell us who you think YOU are!
I honestly HATE answering these kinda questions because they’re just so broad. But I guess in general, I’m Emily, born and raised in Brooklyn, and 17 (still) :(. I’m typically socially awkward in new environments and with new people, but i’m working on that. I’m someone who loves to laugh and it doesn’t take much to make me laugh. I’m a pretty friendly for the most part and I like going out late nights.
b. Share your top 3 concerns about your freshman year at Baruch College and explain why
My top three concerns are time management, procrastination, and meeting new people. I have terrible time management and I’m always late to classes. In college, that’s going to be an affecting factor on my classes and I hope to juggle my time equally with work, school, and friends. I’m probably the laziest person you’ve ever meet, and i tend to procrastinate a lot. For now, the procrastination isn’t too bad, as I don’t exactly have much work to do, but it’ll catch up to me. In high school, i’ve always gotten away with handing in assignments late or not at all, but i dont think that’s gonna slide in college. I’ve been so comfortable in my environment and the people in high school that I pretty much forgot how to make new friends, haha. I’m never really comfortable in new environments, but I hope that will change throughout my semester at baruch.
c. So far, what do you think will make your Baruch College experience different from your high school experience?
I think what makes Baruch college so different from high school is the independence it comes with, and such short school days. I’m definitely enjoying my 3 day weekends and half days of school. I’m also trying to adapt by taking college a lot more seriously than brooklyn tech.
d. How do you think your first year at College will change you?
I hope my first year of college will help me become a more responsible and mature person. Being so independent will help me succeed in the future.
omg… your blog is purple!!! haha i realize i just stated the obvious
