My first semester at Baruch is going well I really enjoy my classes and am doing well. I have met some great people who I know I will be friends with long after I graduate. I wouldn’t do a lot different my first semester I like my classes and the professors, I like my GPA so I am really looking forward to next semestor.
the Career Exploration workshop
The career exploration workshop was a great experience it really helped me learn about how I can improve my resume and become more employable. The career exploration workshop really got me interested in a lot of internships and really help me focuses on the tools to excide.
the Rubin Museum
I really enjoyed my experience at the Ruben museum. I found it very interesting and informative. I found the Nepalese Legacy in Tibetan Painting exhibit very interesting. Not only were the paintings beautiful but the history behind the paintings was fascinating as well. When I was wondering the halls of the Rubin Museum I Kept thinking about how lucky I was to be able to go to this museum and take advantage of this great museum
my monologue
The things that will make me successful in collage are the same things that are my straights in real life. most people when they start collage fear the work load or the difficulty of the classes but I know that if I put 100% in to those classes that I will be able to pass even the most difficult classes with relative ease. My goal isn’t to just get by it is to secede. I was born with a learning disability and It has effected me my whole life I learned how to read when I was in the fourth grade so that’s age 9. My whole life when it comes to school I have always had a harder time than my pears. There were times when I would struggle and become frustrated and would throw my arms up in the air and ask “why me.” If it wasn’t for the support of my family and friends I know I wouldn’t be here right now. But I got passed my learning problems by acknowledging that I had to do things differently or with more effort. I wish I had some defining moment in when I overcame my disability but It was a gradual proses that involved a lot of trial and error. I view my dyslexia and ADHD as a straight now most people find out what there weaknesses are at unfortunate times but I have been in a battle with mine since grade school.

a. Tell us who you think YOU are!
Ok. So I am 18 and obviously and just started collage. The vast majority of my free time is spent on the soccer field. When I am not playing soccer I am refereeing or watching it is a huge part of my life. I like to think that I am a hard worker and that a trustworthy person but what do I know?
b. Share your top 3 concerns about your freshman year at Baruch College and explain why
My top three concerns about my freshmen year are these as followed the workload, they say that every hour you spend in class you should spend two hours studying outside of class and I fear that I don’t have the self-discipline to achieve on any type of consistent basis. Another concern I have is money and money management collage is expensive and living in New York city is defiantly expensive and I only work part time and the third concern I have is the level of difficulty in my classes if I will be able to do well and succeed in collage.
c. So far, what do you think will make your Baruch College experience different from your high school experience?
To compare my high school to Baruch isn’t even possible. In my high school my entire grad was a total of 36 kids and in Baruch I am in a class with at least 70 people so its two totally different experiences.
d. How do you think your first year at College will change you?
My first year of collage is also my first year of becoming an adult and so with it I hope to become more mature and independent
