What can I say about myself? I think I’ve lived a pretty normal life. I finished high school and now I’m in college. I expect a lot from college. I want to experience different things and make a lot of new friends. I think I will enjoy my time in college and I hope I find out new things about myself. I love eating and sleeping. I have one sister who I’m always in conflict with. I live in Flushing, Queens. I like to play basketball on my free time and I like sneakers. I can probably go on and on about more things I like and more facts about my life but I think I should talk about who I want to be. I want to be very successful in the future and have a very loving family. I expect to do well in school and find a deeper meaning to life.

a.  Tell us who you think YOU are!

-I am eighteen years old. I live in Queens. I am Korean. And I am a very nice guy.

b.  Share your top 3 concerns about your freshman year at Baruch College and explain why

-Getting a good GPA is one of my concerns. I have to get good grades now since I’m in college. We are all in college to get a professional job and no employer is going to hire someone with a low GPA. My second concern is the commute. I live about an hour away and my classes start pretty early so the rush hour in the morning is going to kill me. I don’t want to be late because too many latenesses and they can count as absences. My third concern is the responsibility i need to have in order to do the work. Now i have to motivate myself to do the work and study. There are no teachers to always tell you to do work. Now i have to handle the freedom i have on my own.

c.  So far, what do you think will make your Baruch College experience different from your high school experience?

-I think the fact that Baruch is in the city will make college different. Some of my friends went to universities far out but i go to school right here in Manhattan. I’m looking forward to exploring the city. I didn’t even go to that many places when i lived here for a while but now since i go to school here, i cant wait to check out the cool places in the city.

d.  How do you think your first year at College will change you?

-I think my first year at college will make me more responsible. I have to learn and manage my time.
