Rubin Museum

I enjoyed some of the work at the Rubin Museum.  I had been there before when I was in high school, but I really didn’t get any of the art.  This time around, I spent more time trying to understand what was around me.  I found the Tibetan shrine room really interesting, because that was where all of the art that was shown in the museum was shown altogether in one room.  Looking at all of the different art was harder when they were all around the museum, but seeing it all in the room (though a little bit scary) was interesting in one piece.  I also enjoyed looking at the Atta Kim photos especially the long exposure with Times Square and New Delhi, because those places are usually full of people, but with those pictures it seemed as if no one was there.  To see those normally busy streets appear to be empty, was really different and interesting to look at.
