  2. My name is Absham Naghori. I am a freshman at Baruch College. I am physically disabled, and use a wheelchair. Currently, I live in Long Island, Valley Stream, NY. Before moving to Long Island, I have spent four years living in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I am originally from Pakistan and also lived there for eight years.

This being my first semester at Baruch College, my top concern would be my transportation to college, especially in the morning. As you may have noted earlier, I live in Long Island. The trip from home to college and back home on an average may take about three hours daily. So overall, that would be twelve hours spent on transportation weekly. My second concern at Baruch would try to be someone reliable. My last but yet the greatest concern is passing all of my classes with a high GPA.

High school was only ten to fifteen minutes drive daily. College is a complete different story. A three hour ride can be a lot to suffer through daily, sometimes in the heat, or sometimes in a tornado. I always keep a book with me in my bag, just in case I get bored. There are various ways of fixing this experience, one of which is moving close by to the college. After about three weeks of working on this goal, the destination flag in no where to be seen, but I am getting closer.

There have already been many astonishing changes in my life since I started attending college. First of all, I was a long sleeper. In school days, I had many problems trying to wake up and pull those covers off from above my head. But now, I have no such problems. I wake up everyday at six thirty, get dressed and am ready to go. Also I have become more independent and hopefully will continue to become so. Lastly, hopefully I will start to finish my work on time, so I can pay attention to other important actions being taken around me.
