Baruch didn’t exceed or fail my expectations mainly because i didn’t really know what to expect from the school. The only thing that I underestimated was my work load which contributed to me dropping math. I did relatively well in the rest of my classes but I still ended up dropping math. One thing i hated was registering. I was prepared almost a month ahead and all I could do was watch the classes I wanted fill up until it was my time to register and the only classes I could grab were less than ideal.
If I would do anything differently it would definitely be me trying harder in math. I kind of ignored how little I knew and said, “I’ll just wing it” which screwed me over for the rest of the semester. Everything else I’m pretty happy about. I’m happy with where I am in the rest of my classes and I can only hope it stays that way.
The biggest change in myself since coming to Baruch is my work habits. In high school I did absolutely nothing and just flew threw it. Now in Baruch i find that I need to be more studious and I have to take notes and pay attention. In high school I was absent a lot but in Baruch I have changed that quite a bit. I’ve only missed some classes and I am late only sometimes compared to me not going at all.
