a. I think I am a well mannered and educated person who wants to enrich the business and economic environment with the expertise and proficiency of a strong mathematics, science and humanities understanding and involvement. I am a freshmen in Baruch College, a duel-citizen; Serbian and United States citizen, a brother of two, a son of two amazing parents and a friend of many amazing friends.
b. My top 3 concerns at Baruch College for my freshman year are very simple. The first one is the concern to complete the tier 1 course as soon as possible because I want to finish the required courses so I can start on my path to my major and to my masters degree sooner. My second concern is to take all the course required to apply to Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business because that is where I’m intending to study my major and pursue my masters as well; I want to as well apply to the accelerated program, where I can get my masters in 5 years. And my final third concern is the long papers that we need to do for various courses because I was never a fan of writing or English, since I was not born in America and English was my second language, I always had trouble writing well structured short papers. My papers were always long and had too much details as one of my teachers in high school said. I really am going to be spending a lot of time revising and visiting the writing center for the final papers.
c. My experience at Baruch is already different from that of my high school [and I don’t really have anything to say that will make it more different]. It’s different in the sense that the college experience is more diverse, we have students from all around the world and there are enormous amount of courses that you can take, giving everyone the ability to study whatever they want. The atmosphere is also different, you can be walking around and you’ll find a friend on every floor and both of you would stop to talk, it’s not a rush but a social and connected environment.
d. My first year at College will change me by exposing me to more challenges than I’ve faced before, I will have more work, papers, and exams to worry about and as well less time to prepare for them. This will make me become more time concerned and more organized about when I’m free or when I’m not free. It’s going to make me a more focused and motivated person, one who will try his best to achieve the best that he believes he can do.
