In this event we learned what we needed to graduate from the three schools of Baruch and it helped me make my schedule for the spring semester of 2011. It also gave me options for backup courses.

This workshop talked about the basics of getting a job. They covered the questions :How a resume is suppose to be? What to do before, during and after an interview? What type of help Baruch College offers? and so on. A very educational session.

The panel was conducted by five speakers including Charles N. Li. When I first looked at him, he didn’t look like a man in his 70s. He looked pretty young for someone in his 70s. The session was about identity and how everyone has one or more identities. Some parts were interesting. Some not so much. But it was great to finally see Charles N. Li in the flesh.

Hi my name is Michelle Lam.I live in Staten Island which is very far from Baruch College. I commute to school everyday. At first the commute was extremely annoying but now I’m kind of use to i. But its still very time consuming. So i rather dorm.
The college experience in Baruch isn’t so different from high school. I think its cause were in a block and we’re traveling together. Maybe next semester would be more “college”. The work that is assigned and required is definitely more then high school’s work. The material that is taught isn’t hard but is it a lot to in take.
One of the things i love the most is food. Everyday, people eat. But every person has different expectations on what they eat. Some might like bland foods. Some sweet. Some salty. Some savory. And many more. Food can have many meanings and purposes as well. To some its a means for survival (unfortunate but true). To some its just to fill their stomach and get on with their lives. But to many people like me, its a way to enjoy life. Every time I indulge in a piece of rich, creamy, moist chocolate cake, it puts a smile on face. Life’s too short, you gotta enjoy it some how .

A) I think I’m a well mannered person that friendly.
B) Concern Number 1- failing Sociology
Reason- Its a very confusing subject.
Concern Number 2- Not doing well in my classes
Reason- Most of my classes are based on writing papers and I’m not a very good writer.
Concern Number 3- registering for spring semester’s classes
Reason 3- I’m worried about picking the wrong classes or getting a horrible teacher.
C) I think my first year of college would make me more independent.
