Hello friends,

Our semister final is knocking at the door. We are almost at the business end of this semister. My first semister at Baruch college is finishing. Altough my grade so far has not been up to the mark, there are a lot of positive things to talk about this semister.

Our group has been one of the finest group in Barcuh College. I think all of the students are very friendly to each other. I remeber how Han Yang helped me a lot in almost every subjects. Then how Chen Min tried to teach me Mandarin which was very hilarious. Shaan gave my spme Piano lesson. Anyway,  my first semister at Barcuh College has been full of ups and downs. So I will start with my bad things. My grade has been pretty low so far. So I need a miracle to get a god grade in this semister. probably I will end up with an ordinary grade. My experience in Baruch College was really good. But I didn’t participate in any clubs or sports due to lack of times. I hope I will have more time in the next semister. Otherwise, it has been a memorable journey so far. My journey has been a satisfactory one.

If I could get my chance back, I would probably study hard. I was really very inattentive to studies. I didn’t do home work for a single day in Math class. I think it has been an incredible record ( the one that I shouldn’t talk about). I also wanted to be more participating in the class discussions. I also want to hold those precious friends.

After I get admitted in baruch College, I feel that I am becoming more responsible, not only in studies but also in every spheres of my life. Personally , I was a lazy person. But now, I am a hard working human being. I hope I could have a little more motivation which will drive us forward.

In conclusion , I wanted to tell that I might not be part of this group in the next semsiter becasue I choose different courses from my friends. When I grow old and leave the Baruch, I will remember this blog and think about this people . I will miss every one of them. I will feel nostalgia. Thanks to each and everyone. Thanks to : Han yang Yip, Chen Min, Somar Ketwaru Shaan , Yong Chen, Xibei Liu Toni, Mary Ann Lee, Jin Lin, Michelle Kim, Wei Feng Li, Oleksandr Tkach, Luyao Zheng, Jonathon Wong, Ru Fang Zheng, Minglu Liu, Wendi Huang Will, Marsida Guzia and Wei Yao Cynthia. Finally , thanks to our dear teacher Michelle Li. I wish everyone of you a happy future and a beautiful life.

Hello everyone,

I visited the Rubin Museum of Art yesterday. I spent 2 hours in the museum and I have to say, it was quite an inredible experience. Visiting the museum was necessary to post a blog for my freshman seminar course. However, visiting the museum gave my plenty of excitement. It did broaden my mind, nourished my soul and widen my domain of knowledge about the ancient Buddhist cultures.

Rubin Museum is situated in the 17th street , between 6th and 7th avenue. I went there by subway. Initially , I faced some difficulty to find the museum . After 15 minutes of walk from the subway station, i was able to find the museum. The museum provided us with symbols and relics of rich Buddhist culture. I was able to take the picture from the first two floor but couldn’t take a single picture in the 4th, 5th and 6th floor. The second floor contains arts and sculptures of ancient Himalaya and Tibet. I tried to see those scluptures and explore their histories. One picture certainly caught my attention though :

This picture shows the structre of ancient Buddhist society. I took a lot of pictures. Although I am not into arts and museums , I still like my trip.

The third , Fourth and Sixth floor showed more evidence of ancient societies related to Buddhism. Fifth floor contains items which exhibits the powr of religion. In conclusion,  this trip has been a valuable experience for me. I leave you with one of my other photos from the museum :

Hello everyone,

My name is Nayeeb fahmi. I am 20 years old . I came from Bangladesh. Before , I lived in Dhaka , which is the capital city of Bangladesh. I completed my high achool there. I live with my parents in Queens. I have an elder brother. I study in Baruch College . I am a freshman right now. For this semister I take 4 courses. Those 4 courses are about English , Math,Theatre and Political science.

My life in Baruch has been very challenging indeed. A lot of things are new to me and the study system is completely different from my country. So I have to employ more time in my studies than a domestic freshman. I live in the United States for 1 years . At first , it was hard for me to settle down in this country. Almost everything is different in US compared to my country. But eventually I got settlrd down quite well in this country although I still miss my country a lot . One thing is worth mentioning though , They variations in lifestyle in these two countries are huge. As a person , I am a little bit introvert. I am aslo very sensitive and emotional. In the meantime, I am also a very realistic person with high optimism. I have a good ambition and thats why I choose US over my country . Because US have very good unversities and I like to seek my education from US.

I have a lot of likings and dislikings. I like to make friends and travelling different places. I always prefer the big city for living and so I choose New York City. I lie to participate in sports . My favorite sports is Soccer. Soccer is my biggest passion. I like to use internet and search for different informations. I like to have a sound sleep every night. I believe in democracy. I also dislike a lot of things. I dont’ like it when someone very intimate misunderstands me. I don’t like cutural, religious and racial clashes and divisions in a society . I don’t like people cheating with their dearest person. I don’y likr injustice to poor people.

I like Barcuh College a lot.  I am proud to be the part of  a college which has a very diverse student society. Baruch College has a muticultural student society which makes it a very beautiful place for a student.  Sudents from almost 160 countries have been represented here. (  U.S. News & World Report ). There are  a lot of clubs to participate . You have good athletics facilities too. This college also has a reputation for its bussiness curriculam and producing top class business adminstrators. In conclusion , I wish each and everyone a very successful lifein baruch College and a highly successful career and life.

My name is Nayeeb Fahmi. I was neither born nor raised in USA. I came from Bangladesh, a South Asian country which is next to India. United States is quite new to me as I passed only 11 months here so far. Gradually, I get used to all the rules and regulations of this country, although I still have trouble to get used to the lifestyle of USA. My parents live here with me. I have an elder brother who is doing MS in Mechanical Engineering in an university in Toronto,Canada.  When I describe me, the first I wanted to tell people that I am a determined person. Sometimes that determination goes to a level of stubbornness. I am a very normal person with high ambition. To me, sky is the limit so one can do things which virtually seems impossible. So one should always has hope and ambition. Without appetite for success, it is very hard for someone to achieve the goal. I believe I do have a goal and I am working hard to become successful in life. Besides my academic career, I like many other things including traveling and Sports. My favorite sport is Soccer.

One of my goal was to get chance in Baruch College. I was able to fulfill this particular goal. I admire this college because it is a cosmopolitan college with students from different race study here.  World truly seem to be a ‘Global Village’ in this campus. As a freshman, I get to know a lot of features and things about this college. But at the same time, I know that I can’t take my foot out of the peddle. There are some points which I am concerned about as a freshman. First of them is to understand all the curriculum of my courses . As I am still new in this country, I faced some trouble in understanding all the things in this college. Secondly, I want to mentain a healthy financial condition so that I don’t have to worry about my family costs. Finally , I want to have a good grade in all of the courses so that i can go into the next year of my academic calendar with a good momentum.

It has been different experience in Baruch College compared to my high school. As a person, I feel more matured. Mentally I also feel different from my school life as the surroundings are changing. First year at the college is very important for a student. I think I will gain more experience during this time. I also think I would be more attentive to my studies as time moves on.

All in all , I am looking forward to have a good time in Baruch College so that I can laid the foundation of a very successful career.
