whats up everyone? For those of you who don’t already know, my name is Jason D’Ornellas. I am 18 years old and i was born and raised in Brooklyn. Now lets not all assume that because I’m from Brooklyn means that i am a bad ass drug dealer who will start a fight because you stepped on my shoe or “grilled” me (stare at someone for a long time) LOL . In fact I am a very nice, calm, and respectable young man, as long as i am treated the same way. Once you get to know me you will find that I am very outgoing and I enjoy making people laugh as well as having serious conversations whether its talking about philosophy or last nights yankee game. I love listening to music as well as creating and playing it. I play guitar and sometimes i try to rap even though I am not that good. I was a natural athlete, however i still love sports. Football is my favorite to watch and to play.I hope that I will get to know everyone as they get to know me and create some new friendships during my college experience.
I am concerned that i will slack off a little during my first semester, because i am still trying to break away from some bad habits developed during high school, but i think that i can handle it and adjust to the college life. College, let me just say that I LOVE COLLEGE. To me college is nothing like high school. I feel that everyone is at a much more mature and intellectual level. For me high school was boring and dull, the teachers didn’t really teach and everyone was too lazy to do work. Most of the kids in my classes acted very immature and i wanted nothing to do with my school. They say that high school is supposed to be one of the best times of your life…well i guess College is the new high school because I feel college will be one of the best times of my life. From the moment i stepped into Baruch as a student I already felt changed. I felt like its a fresh start to a better life, one where i will be able to be all I can be and obtain all the knowledge my brain can consume. I think my first year of college will change my intentions as a business major. Almost everyone goes to college with intentions to do one thing and wind up changing their minds, but hey we’ll see what happens down the line, maybe I will stick with my original intentions or maybe they will change and reveal Who I really am and what my purpose is.
