Hey my name is Michelle I’m 17 years old & I am Dominican. At first I am a shy person but once i get to know you I stop being shy :). I am a realistic person. A lot of people confuse the fact that I am realistic and think that I am a pesimistic person and I am not. I can be real sweet but don’t think that you can push me over; I can also have a very strong attude. I am planning on becoming an accounting major but its just a thought. I don’t know where I am going to be in 10 years but I am excited for my journey to come.
I think like any freshmen I am concerned with the way things run. College is very different from high school. Teachers give you your assignments for the semester and thats it. They are not on top of you to get things done on time. If you hand it in great if not too bad. So I’m concerned about my time management. I am the biggest procastinator ever and I know that this can affect me a lot in school. Also the fact that everything depends on you. In college you have a bigger responsibility. It makes sense I guess since you are considered an “adult”. My last concern is that my “college life” will be boring. Being that Baruch is a commuter school most students just go to school and go home; theres not much of an involvement.
There are so many things that I think will make my experience at Baruch different then my high school experience. I think one thing that will make a big difference is the people that I will meet. I know I am going to learn a lot from my first year at Baruch. One thing im really hoping to get from my freshmen is time management because I think that with out that college will be one big struggle LOL hopefully not.
Well i hope you guys know a little more about me. I’m not really a blog person so bare with me 🙂

College is what you make of it. You’d be surprised at how many students actually stay on campus, even after their classes are done. I recommend you join a club / student organization. You’re going to be here for fours years! Get active! LOL
