Two brands that mean a lot to me would be UNIQLO and the NBA.
Of all the stores I shop in, Uniqlo is my favorite. I have bought many of my clothes from this Japan-based retailer, which is located in SoHo (the only Uniqlo store in the entire US). I remember when the store first opened during my junior year in high school, it was around Christmas time. I was fascinated by the sheer size and variety of nice clothes the store had. For the last 4-5 years, I have continued shopping at Uniqlo because of its quality and affordable prices. I think I’m also attracted to Uniqlo because Japan is at the top of my list of places I want to visit. Being able to add pieces of their style to my own is fun.
Basketball has always been my favorite sport so it’s no surprise that the NBA is something I follow very closely. I’m fans of many players (Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, to name a few) and I am a fan of the NETS. As long as I can remember, I’ve been watching NBA games. I remember the good times (Knicks of the 90’s when they were actually making the playoffs) as well as the bad times (Michael Jordan coming back to the Wizards). There’s no other sport like basketball. It’s sad that I haven’t been able to play as much anymore, especially this semester due to my immense workload, club obligations, and other reasons but I continue to watch the NBA to satisfy my entertainment needs.
My two favorite stores one which is also Uniqlo because the clothes in there are pretty nice and unique in a way. Along with that they have a large selection of formal clothes that I like and I remember buying my very first suit for my Virtual Enterprise Program in high school in Uniqlo and the quality of the clothes aren’t bad at all. Not only can i buy formal clothes in there but in the summer and fall they a lot of nice t-shirts and they also have jeans, cardigans etc all in a reasonable price.
My second favorite brand would be the Apple products because I myself own an I touch. I don’t think I can survive by commuting to Baruch every single day without my I touch entertaining me with my music and the apps that i can download on it and use it for my own use. In the near future im planning to get myself an I Pad even though I already own an I touch and the reason for that is because it can replace my laptop in a way and no need to carry my laptop all around Baruch College with like 8 pounds on my back.
In response to David,
I try to let all customers thinking of purchasing an Ipad this, it is a sad excuse for a computer replacement. Don’t spend $500 that could go toward a much much much better device for the Ipad simply because it’s an Ipad. Just saying. Buyer beware. haha
