  1. Community service is always fun, you get to help people who aren’t as fortunate as yourself and there is a certain satisfaction in it. Giving back is very important to me because not only do you get to have that personal satisfaction that you did something good for someone else but you also get to make someone else’s day and that feeling is great.

  2. I’ve never done anything while thinking it’s community service. As a matter of fact, I feel like every time I say I’m doing community service or whatever, I feel like I’m forcing myself to do it. I only volunteer if what I’m volunteering to do is of interest to me. Sounds selfish? To some degree it is, but I think it is more effective this way because the quality of the job will be better if I actually ENJOY doing it in the first place.

  3. I love doing community service. To date, I spent four years at my local library volunteering with kids. I know most of the kids by name and it gives me a sense of sastifaction because the kids look forward to seeing me every week. When I take a day off, the next time they come in, they always tell me they missed me and to never take a day off again. They are so cute. 🙂 I sometimes help out with arts and crafts for the kids and shelf books.
I also like volunteering at the park cleanups every spring because I like planting flowers and painting so I figured, why not volunteer at these events?
I learned that giving back, no matter how much, really helps because there are always people counting on you for what you do.

  4. Volunteering is big part of my life.Everytime i help someone who need a help i feel somekind of undescrible happiness,it makes me appreciate the life i have now and it gives a strength to work harder. When i was in China,i volunteered to help people suffering from Xichuan province earthquake. We climbed for 5 hours to reach the safe house, because the road was broken. It was so heartbreaking to see those people who lost their loved ones like that, especially children who lost their parents. This experience made me understand so many new things and gave me one big purpose.Someday,i want to build a hospital for children who cant afford to pay to get a medical help.

  5. Doing community serivce is very self fulfilling in that you can help all these people in so many ways. I enjoy doing community serivce as it also a way to give back for it all it gave me.

  6. Community service is neccesary in my life, when i did my first community service I realized that although i’m small i can be useful and helpful to others, and if i can i always try my best to help people.

  7. Since I was little, my parents have always forced me to do community service. At this point in my life, it has become a daily life occurence. Not only are you helping others, but you are helping yourself. You learn about yourself in ways you could never imagine!
