Time passed by really fast and it’s already the end of the semester. I thought my first semester at Baruch was ok. I had 5 classes in total and a 4 day school week. It did lived up to my expectations because I didn’t really expect that much. I liked most of my classes and made new friends.

I think my first semester at Baruch College was alright. I just hope that I did fine on all my classes and get good grades. Since final week will be coming soon, I will need to study hard for my 3 finals. I was glad that I made new friends and all my classmates were really nice.

If I can do something differently during my first semester, it might be the way I study for exams. Sometimes, I get lazy and procrastinate. I need to work harder in order to do better and hopefully I can be more studious next semester.

I don’t think I have change much since I started at Baruch College. I had more reading assignments and wrote more papers. I had more free time since I only have school Monday thru Thursday. I also ate more because I often buy food from stores and restaurants near our school. Overall, I thought my first semester was an ok experience and hope that my second semester can go well also.

My name is Cindy Chu. I am not an outgoing person although I tend to get very noisy and loud after I truly get to know someone. I care about my academic grades a lot. I really want to do well in college and get a good GPA. I feel like I didn’t really do that well in my first midterms although I did study pretty hard for them. Maybe I still need some time to adjust to this high school -college transition period although college started 2 months ago. Maybe I need to study even harder and concentrate more in class.
My favorite leisure activity is going shopping. I like to buy new clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories just like any other girls. I think shopping and buying something I like make me really happy. I also really like to bake. Even though I don’t like the clean up process after I bake, I enjoy baking in general. I like to bake cookies and cupcakes because those are pretty easy to make and I like eating them a lot. I think that homemade cookies and cupcakes are healthier than the ones sold in stores because I can control what kind of ingredients to put in. I can use low fat butter and put less sugar, therefore it makes me feel less guilty when I eat them.
I like my college life so far even though writing papers and taking midterms can be very stressful. I think college is really different from high school and I hope my 4 year college experience will be fun and exciting. Hopefully, I can graduate with a good GPA ,get a stable job and then live a happy life.

Who do i think i am?I think i am an easygoing person with lack of patience. I am definitely not a very outgoing person although I tend to get very noisy and hyper after I truly get to know someone. I am a responsible person and I tend to keep all my promises. I usually don’t wait till the last minute to do my work,but I wouldn’t do it the very moment I received the assignment either.

My main concern about my freshman year at Baruch College would be my academic grades. Since college is very different from high school , I wouldn’t really know what to expect from tests given by different professors. I am worry about the upcoming tests I have next week because it would be my first tests and I would want to do well on them. Another concern would be the requirement of a public speaking class. I don’t like presenting in front of a bunch of people because I get nervous easily. Since this would be a mandatory class, I have no choice but to take it and hopefully it can help me in becoming a better presenter. My last concern would be time management. I have lots of readings and writing assignments to do almost everyday from various classes and I will soon have to prepare for my upcoming tests . It seems to me that I have lots of work to do and I hope I can manage my time wisely so that I have enough time to finish everything I need to do.

What do I think will make my Baruch College experience different from my high school experience? I think that in college, class size tends to be a lot larger and professor don’t really have the time to care about students individually. There is definitely no way to cut class because one will be drop from class after a certain amount of absences. The campus area is also a lot bigger than high school and now I have to walk a lot of stairs in order to get to class.

I think my first year at College will help me in becoming a more studious person. Due to the increase amount of workloads I have now, I would focus more on my schoolworks and take them more seriously than when I was in highschool. I would probably have less free time and I definitely would need to learn how to manage my time wisely. I hope that my first year at College will be fun despite the amount of work I have to do.
