Ming Yuan’s 3rd Blog
Time flies so quickly. This is going be the last blog. Since nothing is perfect, I think I did okay in some classes and I have to be more cautious in other classes. So far, I enjoy my Monday and Wednesday’s schedule because I can go to school late and still go home early. On the contrary, I don’t like the Tuesday and Thursday’s schedule because I have to go to school early and go home late. I personally don’t like the two hours break, which I will waste the two hours on something not important.
What I want to do differently during my first semester if I could do it again is that I want to pay more attention to the classes and write better essays. I wish I took as many College Now classes as possible in high school because I really don’t like the long and soporific lecture classes. I definitely changed a lot in Baruch College. Not to mention that I become lazier, I learn how difficult is to write a highly sophisticated essay and how difficult is to make a good friend in no matter what class.

Ming Yuan’s second post
Hi! I am Ming Yuan, but I like people to call me Ming. The reason is that I am used to be called just by one character since high school years. Some of my high school teachers had hard times of calling me by the full name; hence, I told them by calling me Ming is ok. Anyway, Ming in Chinese means light or bright which symbolizes that I am a happy person. In addition, Yuan means far which also suitable for me such I’m living in America. By combining the two characters, my name is formed as well as my personality.
As I said before that I am a happy person, it can be reflected by counting how many friends I have made since I came here. Some friends are more important than others in some fields such as in study, some can help me with understanding, but some others like me may seeking for help. I like to help people of solving problems, but I don’t have the time to help everyone. I really do like to play with my friends. In this cyber world, I enhance the friendship through games. Above all, parents are the most important at this point because they support me as well as teach me how to be independent.
Recently, I am having hard times of focusing in classes and afraid of tests. In my political science class, I can barely survive being awake through the long tedious class. Clearly, the fear is shaped. In addition for anthropology class, the amount of materials is unbelievable, how I wish I know everything. Good luck to everyone who takes anthropology.

1.I think I am a lazy person. Specifically, I like to stay inside where I don’t have to move too much. I also don’t like to waste my time on time-consuming activities such as exercise. Most of the time, I go home as soon as the school day is over, and I rarely want to stay in school late for another additional second. I think I am very neat with my school work. For example, I organize my binder in a particular way where I can find the materials that I needed easily.
2.My top 3 concerns are school work, grade, and lunch. Everyone is somewhat concerned with school work because the amount of reading is unbelievable. For example, I have to read at least twenty pages everyday. In addition, I have written assignment where I try to be cautious in order to respond the questions correctly. This leads to my second concern that is I try to keep up with the grades. I want to achieve high grades which will benefit my future job interviews. For the third concern, I found that it is hard to find a place to eat. Although there are many restaurants locate around Baruch and there is a cafeteria locate inside Baruch, I have to pay what I choose which is most likely to be really expensive. I don’t wish to spend a large amount of money on lunches. In addition, I start to feel sick of the qualities of lunches served around the school!
3.I think that the amount of reading will make a big difference from my high school experience. In college, I have to read and answer the questions with pressures of concerning answered correctly whereas in high school I rarely open my textbooks and answered correctly. Last, I also learned the degree of difficulties of reading college-level materials.
4.In the first year of college, I think I will adapt a money management skill. In high school, I didn’t spend any on tuition whereas I have to spend large amount of money on college tuition as well as transportation fees and lunches!
