I received a semester grade of B- in your class, but based on my own records I think I earned an A. Can you please recalculate my grade for the semester? Thanks!

    Hi Jacky,

    Great start. However, you should be clear in your email, you will want to state your grade breakdown why you think you deserve the A. Also, before asking the professor to change your grade, you should consider asking for a grade breakdown – this will help you understand you grade, and see if you missed anything that factors in to your grade. Additionally, it lessens the opportunity for the professor to react defensively.
