Hi Yazmin,
I think its great that you offered to make-up work instead of just excusing your absence. Some advice, if you ever miss an exam, especially a make-up – make sure you have a doctors note. Additionally, you will want to try and email the professor before the exam or that same day and not after. That said, in the email you will want to tell the professor you have the doctors note.
