Who Am I?

by michelle.rozenblyum

a. Tell us who you think YOU are!

This is a very interesting question because most times we are busy judging others that we don’t really take a step back and judge ourselves. For starters I’m a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, a friend, and a student. Besides the obvious things I’m also a bookworm, a “know-it-all”, a listener, a dreamer, and an achiever.

b. Share your top 3 concerns about your freshman year at Baruch College and explain why.

  1. Getting good grades- This is my biggest concern. I tend to focus on the future and know in order to achieve what I want average won’t cut it.
  2. Making friends. – I know that college isn’t all about grades but also about making everlasting friendships
  3. Keeping up with the work load.-  Since college is a lot more demanding than high school I worry that I will fall behind.

c. So far, what do you think will make your Baruch College experience different from your high school experience?

I think getting involved and spending more time will make my Baruch College experience different than my high school experience.

d. How do you think your first year at College will change you?

I think it’ll make me more organized and better prepared for the years of schooling that lie ahead of me.

    a. I am a 18 year old Korean guy who lives in Queens. I am a son to my parents and a student and Baruch College. I like to sleep and play games but also like to read such as science magazines such as National Geographic, mostly for the pictures though.

    b. 1. Getting good grades is my biggest concern since I plan to transfer to NYU next year since I wouldn’t learn much things related to my major in freshmen year so Baruch seemed like a good college for first year.
    2. Staying healthy is also a big concern since no matter how successful you are, it means nothing if you’re unhealthy. I am trying to get into a better sleep pattern and eat more healthy food but I will have to see how it all turns out.
    3. I also would like to make new friends and get to know new people so it will make my time here enjoyable.

    c. In high school, there were many occasions where I would cram material in short amount of time. I realize however, by the workload and reading, it would be difficult to carry on my high school habits. I expect in college to actually do work daily instead of certain periods of times such as days before a test.

    d. College will definitely make me more organized and independent. Unlike high school I am expected to do the work and teachers do not enforce me to do so as in the past.

Excellent. I like that you are both looking to the future and preparing for it now by picking up good study and social habits!
