I’m afraid of reading books and papers because it makes me fall asleep. Getting a good grade will make me happy. Family and friends are important to me cause they will always be by my side and support me. I go to school Monday through Thursday so that I have plenty of time resting and studying at home on weekends.

Monolouge
Like everyone else, the most important thing to me is my family. They help me out with all the problems that I have. Otherwise, my friends are the next important to me. Without them I would not be what I am today. I’m afraid of a lot of thing and one of them is the common bugs. Those that fly scares my most. Another thing that I’m afraid are apples, which i find to be unique since no one else is apple-phobic. I hate the sound that apples make when we cut or eat them.
I’m especially happy when I find the time to sleep, which i don’t have much of for the past years. I feel empowered when I am around my friends. They have a positive force that make be brave enough to overcome my fears.
So far in college, I am doing fairly well. My schedule is very flexible and a challenge that i need to resolve during my time is college would be my time management. My previous years prove that I’m not good at time management. Otherwise I like college a lot because of my classes and my friends.
Monologue
Truthfully, I am afraid of many things. For example, bugs and insects are the things I am afraid of the most. I hate seeing one bug in my room; sometimes I call my room a “bug free zone” area. I see around one bug once every month or two. Once I couldn’t sleep in my room for two days because of a swarm of bugs around 20 just flying near the lights. I recently found out that I am also afraid of the dark.
I live a very simple life. It makes me happy when I am in my room where it’s just quiet and peaceful. It also makes me happy when my family and friends around me are happy as well. Food, music, dramas, and getting good grades also put a smile on my face.
My parents are important to me. I need them in my life to guide and care for me. An education is also important to me as well as a successful career. Even though I rather live my simple life, sometimes I have to be realistic and understand that an education is crucial for a successful future. But, health would always be number one on my list.
As of right now, I still feel like a stranger here at Baruch. I feel like I don’t have a lot of friends. I am trying really hard to get good grades but I don’t think that’s working really well. I tried to be more active by joining a club, but wasn’t sure what club to join.
I felt embarrassed once when I tripped on the stairs in high school. I didn’t fall but it was really clumsy and embarrassing. I quickly acted normal and looked around to see if anyone was watching. One time here at Baruch when I was ready to exit the New Vertical Campus building, where we swipe our ID cards to come in, I was pushing the turnstiles to exit but for some reason it didn’t let me go out instead I was pushed backwards. I thought that was embarrassing because there was someone in back of me trying to exit as well and instead I pushed into him.
I don’t really think there’s ever a time where I felt empowered, but maybe when I was a leader at work or as a mentor for little kids.
I have a lot of mottos that I follow and when sometimes there’s a situation whether in my family, my friends, or school life I love saying these mottos out to encourage other people. One of my mottos is for people who look down on themselves and don’t believe that they are special or something: “To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.” People also love to hear my quotes especially my mom because she always feel that I might be too pressured but whenever I tell her this is what I believe in, she’ll smile. Another one is: “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” Another quote is from a movie: “My Mama always said, “Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get.” I personally love this quote and believe in this. Life is full of surprises whether if it’s a good one or a bad one, life keeps going. I also love telling people to smile.
My biggest challenge with school right now is getting good grades. I feel like I am not doing so well this semester due to procrastination. I am also scared of failing my midterms and even more worried about the finals.
The thing I enjoy the most about college right now is the three day weekend. I get more time to relax and spend time with family. I love the college atmosphere because I remember seeing that in dramas or show when I was younger.

Monologue

The most important things in my life is God, my faith, and my vision for the future. And the people that follow these things are my family and friends. In order to contaIin myself, I try not to be pulled away by the worldly things and its temptations. In my point of view, these temptations are unexpectedly bad outcomes of desire, which causes the conflicts in my life. But through these conflicts or as I define new experiences, I learn to become more aware of my actions and the things I say. It’s one of the biggest factors that help me to grow stronger.
So, what am I afraid of? My answer would be water and fire. Now, I’m not saying this in a physical manner, but rather in a metaphorical sense. These are totally two opposite opponents of nature, but I believe that this shows the definition of fear in my life. Well, a portion of me believe that my fear is not being able to finish my work in time, not being able to endure my seemingly burdensome struggles, not being able to succeed, and not being able to see how my life will be in the future. However, my other side of me tells me that I need to work harder, and not worry about the conflicts that hinder my path of success. It reminds me that there is something greater out there that I am reaching out for. This reflects the very part of me that guides me through my hard times, even in the most critical situations that I face. It is this perspective that I am able to remind myself of patience, self-control, and tenacity. So instead of being afraid of what will happen tomorrow, I tell myself that tomorrow will worry about itself.
monologue
There are many things that I am afraid of:blood, take elevators, drive cars, speak with strangers, speak in public, make decisions.
The things make me happy is get good grades in each class,go to beach enjoy a afternoon.
I think my family is important to me beacause they comfort me when I am sad, encourage me when I fail, give me suggestions when I don’t know what to do.
My personal motto is “find someone to be success for .”
I think things make me feel enjoy in college are time is more flexible and professor don’t really teach about books, most of time is like a talk about a topic.
monologue
I AM AFRAID OF FAILING BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO TAKE A CLASS SEVERAL TIMES, IT JUST WASTE MY TIME AND MONEY. MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE IN COLLEGE IS TO WRITE A LONG PAPER WORK. MY FAMILY IS IMPORTANT TO ME.
monologue
I’m afraid of writing, but I’m doing now. I’m afraid of in the crowed street.
I’m happy when I’m eating. I’m so hungry now. Full of my head are food.
My schedule is the most important thing today. I forget it home. I can’t find my class.
I have four classes today. I don’t have lunch today, which is so sad. Now I’m in the fro class.
When people reject me, I cry and cry and cry and cry …….
When I stand in front of my little nephew, I feel strong. He is only up to my legs. He speaks in very low cute voice, and looks like a squirrel.
My motto is “eating more, having more energy”.
My biggest challenge in the school right now is eating. I don’t have lunch Monday. I shall bring some bread, but I’m almost sick with it. I may like it later.
The most enjoy in the college is nothing, but also I don’t hate anything.
Monologue
What am I afraid of ? That’s probably one of the most difficult questions of my life. I’m afraid of so many things but the most important would be failing myself.
My happiest moments are when I’m sharing something with my friends and family.
The most important thing in my life is obviously me. Except that my mother is the most important to me.
Baruch experience has been somewhat ok but not that great. Maybe cause I’m not involved too much. Don’t know a lot of students.
I went to play soccer. When the ball came to my direction to tried to kick the ball but missed. I was so embarrassed.
I have worked hard in the store that I work. So, when the manager praised me and put me in charge of the night shift I felt empowered. I thought I had the potential to be a leader.
My motto is that life is like a toothpaste. When you squeeze the paste out you cannot put that in. So, we should not dwell on the past.
I really enjoyed the weekend. Although it would have been better if I did not have a lot of homework. My biggest challenge in school and participation in class. I need to participate more.I’m enjoying my college. I’m learning about new materials, doing creative assignments.
Julie’s Monologue
I am afraid of a lot of things: heights, bees, flying insects, killing roaches, seeing dead animals, blood and so much more. Seeing crushed or dead pigeons is one of the worst. It automatically makes me want to puke. One time, I even saw a squirrel that’s been rolled over by a car several times.
There are many things that make me happy. But one of the more prominent ones is food. Eating at places that I’ve never been to always makes me feel happy. In addition, there’s also the high grades and money.
What’s most important to me? The usually: family, friends, and grades. They’re the people or things that have always kept me moving forward. Without my family and friends, I am nothing.
Today has been normal. The workload is beginning to pile. I can’t wait till I get out of this class so I can rush to the library to look up information about the FBI, my PUB assignment. The psychology chapter is also due tomorrow. This is just the beginning.
I felt empowered when I received a prize at school for a family portrait that I drew.
I can’t really think of a song that describes me but I have one that is stuck in my head right now. It is “Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson.
School is going alright. I wanted to get straight A’s in my current classes because it is my freshmen year and it’s the easiest. However, I didn’t do so well on my psychology exam and received a B- on my PUB paper. This is just sad.
I don’t think I find college very enjoyable. In fact, I dislike it more than I like it. I hate how I have to fill up $20 into my metro card every week just to last for the week. I miss those green student metro cards that I used to get. And I find it really boring on those days that I have long hour breaks when my friends have class. There’s absolutely nothing to do but sit in the computer lab and surf the web.
