I’m not really really sure exactly the kind of person I actually am, but for the most part, I know who I think I am.
I’m Anitha and I am 18 years old. I have a huge family and I’d like to think I’m friendly (for the most part). I like meeting new people. I was born and raised in Queens and my parents are both from South India. I’m Christian, and you don’t usually meet indians who are christians, because the national religion in India is hinduism. That’s one of the qualities that make me unique. I used to run track in high school for 3 years, but I’m not very athletic. I am probably the pickiest eater ever, but I’m trying harder to eat anything and everything. I hate pigeons, which is kind of ironic because I’m going to school in the city.
I went to Francis Lewis High School and if you think Baruch is crowded, you haven’t seen my high school. So I guess you can say, I’m used to the crowed elevators and stairs we have here. High school was fun, and I have amazing friends who made it worthwhile. I’m honestly concerned about what will happen to those relationships now that everyone is away for college. I’m also concerned about the time management, but I think I can make it. I’m also concerned about finals, but I guess studying will come in handy around that time.
Well, Baruch has been different from High School in that I guess I’m more independent. I have learned that I have to do things for myself, and to figure out what I want. I’ve learned that everyone walks fast, like all the time; and sometimes its hard keeping up.
I know that I have to be responsible for myself and make adult decisions. I know that my first year of college will teach me a lot and hopefully it will prepare me for the business world.
