Who Do You Think You Are?

September 12, 2011 by francisco.kyriacou

My name is Francisco Kyriacou and I think that I’m a laid back teenager who likes to have fun. Every day I wake up I try and be the best person that I can be and make the best out of everything that I have. The biggest concern I have for my first year at Baruch College is keeping up with my studies. I tend to get a little too laid back with my school work because of my laziness and let things slip away, but hopefully I can adjust to college easily. Another concern that I have is taking the train because it always makes me late! Growing up in Queens I’ve gotten used to driving everywhere ever since I got my car, and I hate the fact that Baruch doesn’t have a parking lot! My last concern is to spend my free time wisely because I noticed in these 2 weeks that a 2 hour break can seem very short. I think Baruch College will be much different than my high school experience, not only because I graduated from an all Greek private school. One thing that is definitely much different from my high school is the diversity of the students at Baruch, and of course the total amount of students. I think my first year in college will change the way I handle my responsibilities. I feel like the transition from high school senior to college freshman is a big step in life that will help me become the mature and responsible man I set out to be.
