Money Management

This seminar didn’t really help my understanding of money management. I found the speaker’s message to be repetitive, reiterating things that should already be common sense. The time we spent at this event definitely could have been spent towards something more productive.

Rubin Museum

Art in museums is often weakened by the atmosphere of the building, the presence of other visitors, etc. Despite our guide’s explanations, I could not understand the art emotionally, even though I understood it cognitively. The turning point was the Tibetan shrine room. Among the many relics like rosaries and food offerings, there was also […]

The Rubin Museum

I had no interest in any of the pieces at the Rubin Museum until I saw the Buddha shrine on the second floor. The donated shrine was majestic and displayed several of the aspects of Buddhism; including the seven bowls of rice and water. The bowls of rice and water symbolize a sacrifice to the Buddhas. […]

Money Management

The presentation was surprisingly a fun experience. Harry King relates events to social networks that everyone uses everyday such as Facebook. He also made the presentation very entertaining and gave out twizzlers! He also talked about building up credit that would help you when you get out of college since we start with none at […]

Money Management

From the name of the workshop, I had a bad feeling about the event. The speaker went over, unsurprisingly money management and common pitfalls into which college students run. While I understand the workshop’s good intentions, I felt many of my peers understood financial planning already. This is an example of modern society’s unnecessary hand-holding. […]

Money Management

This event was a complete waste of my time. Good thing I brought pasta so I wasn’t bored the entire time. Everything the speaker was saying was pretty logical. Of course we’re gonna spend money on food, trasnportation, clothes, and entertainment. How else are we gonna live? Im lucky enough to have a job and […]

Light the Night Walk

I had a great time at the Light the Night walk, mostly because I’ve never been to the Brooklyn Bridge in my entire life. It was a great experience and it was good to see that alot of people came to support breast cancer awareness. I actually walked the bridge TWICE, from Brooklyn to Mahattan, […]
