I did not attend this walk but i made it up by attending the father’s heart ministry. At this place i helped serve people food, set up tables, delivery guests drinks, and worked together to helped make this a big success. I had also worked with my friends to help everyone in need it was a great experience.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the Light the Night walk, However I was able to make up for it by walking with JDRF for Diabetes. One of my closest friends/ hockey teammates was diagnosed with diabetes 5 years ago. Every year he attends the junior diabetes research foundation walk at the college of Staten Island. This year because i was unable to walk in the Light the Night walk I decided to walk with my friend in support for his Junior Diabetes. It was a fulfilling experience and I felt that I was doing the right thing by showing my support and awareness for Junior Diabetes. I will probably start volunteering more for charity because it is the right thing to do.

I actually enjoyed this play a lot more than the previous one. There were many monologues that made you sympathize with. Lots of them were very entertaining and made me laugh. While others made you tear because they were very sad stories. I enjoyed this monologue and am actually forward to seeing next years.

I thought this trip was actually kind of fun. We got to learn about artifacts from the Himalayas. I learned that some people back then used different colors to differentiate good and bad people. The rug that we saw in the museum exhibited how the bad guys were red and the people who fought against the bad guys were covered in red on their feet and hands to show the blood that they got from the bad guys

Even though I’m sure all the performed monologues were heartfelt, there was only one that touched me. The story of a friend’s sacrifice in a battle with cancer sent chills through me. Choosing someone’s life over yours is extremely humble and I think there is a lesson behind it.

Visiting the Rubin Museum was intriguing for me because I’ve always been very curious about different cultures and beliefs. The shrine kept upstairs was most memorable for me as it was stunning… Loved the colors and sculptures, was definitely inspired.

Voices was inspiring, sad and heart-warming. The variety of monologues proved to be entertaining. From sad monologues discussing a parental loss or a best friend becoming ill to the cheerful ones discussing a best friend’s adventure into Europe, Voices gave me an emotional roller coaster. It also gave me some insight into the fellow classmates of 2015 – I felt connected to them as I heard about their stories.

After attending voices 4 I have become aware that a lot of people have come from many different back grounds than I. Many live much worse life experiences and some not as bad. This makes me more aware of the people around me and be open to help.

I learned a lot about credit and how useful it will be during and after college. I also learned that making some changes in my life style can make drastic changes financially such as buying bubble tea which is $4 i could buy 4 water bottles with that or just save $4.

the most interesting part of the museum is the walk in temple they have on the second floor. The Shrine is composed of statues of deities all donated to the museum. All of the statues are without their original jewels because over the years people have sold the jewels in times of need. Most of the statues are hollow so the owners can hide valuables inside it.
