i really liked this, a lot better than voices III because, the day we saw voices III, i didnt know what was going on, and i got really confused and i didnt know why the ppl were talking like that, but now after taking FRO and writing our own monologues, i got a better picture of what was going on. some of the monologues in vices IV made me really sad, and there was one that made me laugh a lot, because it was kinda corny, and corny things are cute.

i thought this trip to the museum was kinda fun! we learned about the himalayans and buddhists and bodhisattvas. i felt englightened after the trip, kinda like how bodhisattvas feel englightened when they become buddhists. my favorite piece in the museum was the rug, that showed how evil red and how the good guys’ hands and feet were red because they were battling the evil guys and shows that they were powerful.

this event was kind of useless because it already said most of the things we know, becasuse its common sense and the speaker was funny sorta, but noone really laughed at his jokes. LOL. props to the speaker though, for standing up there and talking to us, even though it looked like everyone was dead and noone wanted to be there because it was mandatory.

I think voices was very interesting the monologues that were given were very touching and really made you think. the monologue that really caught my attention was the one about the cancer one and the mothers death it was really touching and i couldnt believe the amount of emotion that was shown with each performance.

this article is basically about how a republic needs its government and citizens to work together in order to flourish. I think the article was interesting and that it makes sense, but also that its a little too idealistic to actually work.
p.s. my apostrophe key doesnt work… sorry if ive caused you any distress

Voices IV was a lot better than i expected… not that i expected it to be bad, but i actually thoroughly enjoyed it. I even cried during one of the monologues.

I really liked the Rubin Museum! I used to be self-concious about the bump on the back of my head, but now i know its actually a wisdom bump and that made me feel better. I also really like the green tara statues and the intense shrine.

I didnt find the workshop helpful. The things the guy was saying were common sense, which made the workshop pretty boring.

This was a very entertaining experience. The monologue that hit me the most was the one about cancer. When the presenter started to cry at a monologue that was not even hers, I felt sympathy. The ignorant kids sitting behind me were laughing at them so I told them to quiet down. I am glad that I came to this performance. It was a great alternative opposed to standing outside in the rain.

My favorite part of the museum would definitely have to be the shrine where you pray. The atmosphere was very spiritual and relaxing. This is a nice place to take a nap. I am not big on religion, but if I was this would be a nice place to pray in. The darkĀ and welcoming vibe that the shrine gave out was very unique. I respect Buddhism because it deals with nature and reaching nirvana. Buddhism is a very interesting religion because it has completely different ideals opposed to the big three monotheistic religions. Who knows maybe I’ll go Buddhist like Steve Jobs.
