Hey my name is Christine Leung. I was born in Flushing, Queens but moved to lower east side of Manhattan around the age of 2 or 3. I really enjoy living in the city because it’s so lively and busy. I’m not much of a rural or suburban person. My top 3 concerns for this year is just getting a good gpa especially when I’m not the best test-taker/study person. I’m hoping that I can overcome that this year and be able to have better techniques to study for any type of material. Another concern is being able to manage my time, wisely. Everyone procrastinates, and I’m trying to get myself out of that field so I won’t have a hard time in the long run. I want to be able to not drag my schedule on so I won’t be able to get things done. My college experience will be different than my high school experience because of the amount of people and the diversity this school brings us. I went to a small high school with only 400 students, everyone knows one another so it’s like a limited amount of people to meet. There’s going to be a lot of responsibilities for myself, like buying textbooks, checking up on my homework online, without having the teacher to remind you every now and then. I think this is a great advantage to meet new people in my class, just so there’s someone I can discuss my homework with if I ever have any questions. The first year of college will change me because I will learn how to adapt to a new and bigger environment than how it was back in my high school.
