End of the Semester
1. My first semester at Baruch College has exceeded my expectations. I did so much that I think this will by far be the most entertaining semester of college. I joined a team, became a member of a fraternity, and did well in school. I don’t know if college will ever be the same again.
2. I think my first semester was a success and other semesters will be extremely difficult to follow up the one I just had.
3. If I could change one thing this semester it would be to have studied a little harder.
4. College has changed me in that it taught me how much harder things are then they were back in high school.

Breast Cancer Walk
So kinda forgot to do this sooner but I attended the breast cancer walk. It was definitely different then what I expected. I thought we would be the walkers that are helping to support breast cancer but little did I know our job was to cheer people on and let them know what side of the rope to be on. Let’s just say I was less than excited to hear this at first but once the event got going it wasn’t as bad as I had thought it would be. People were excited to be doing this and that made me excited to wanna cheer them on. The event was surprisingly more excited than I thought it would be, go figure.

Monologue
There is nothing more important to me than family. Family is a bond that cannot be broken. They are always there for support and guidance, they are there when you’re up and when you’re down, and they will never leave your side. From mom and dad’s yelling to their praise, from sibling rivalry to being role models, it’s always important to keep your family close because they will always help and support you, no matter what.

Hello, my name is Michael. I’m 17 years old born in Israel but raised mostly in New York. I lived in Israel for about 2 years before moving to Brooklyn where I lived until 2003 and then moved to Staten Island (yes, it’s a borough in NYC). I grew up having to learn English on my own for the most part because my parents didn’t speak it that well. I graduated from Tottenville High School on Staten Island where I was part of the swim team for 3 years and was captain my senior year helping the team to 2 straight Staten Island titles and 2 straight undefeated regular seasons. I’m very happy to be in Baruch because I know this a school where I can succeed and go beyond what I did in high school. I’m excited to meet new people, make new friends, and have a college experience. I enjoy sports and music as well as movies and sleeping. One concern that I have at Baruch are too much time. I’m sure it will come in handy later on when I have a lot of work and exams to study for but it’s still a lot of time for a breaks. Another concern is the level of work. In high school, it was much simpler and easier to succeed but it will not be as easy in Baruch. A 3rd concern is that there are so many more people that I will not be able to make friends as easily. I think that something that will make my Baruch experience different will be the clubs and teams. There are many teams, clubs, and frats to join and there will be new people to meet. I think my first year will change me because I will feel older, more mature, and a greater responsibility for my actions.
