My name is Ana Elisa, I like our learning community, and  how everybody talks on facebook about homework and such. I never used that facebook group until today, and it was very helpful. (thank you guys). 

I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to New York in 2006. I was going to be a freshman in High School that year but they wouldn’t allow it because of the language barrier, so I repeated eighth grade. I was frustrated at first, but over time I was okay with it.  Now I’m glad that happened because otherwise I would not be with my friends where I am right now, and probably would not know the people I know today. I absolutely love New York, especially NYC. And I also love Venezuela like no other. My father still lives there but he comes and visits every two months or so. (he is coming for Christmas!) so it is not bad. Also, I just went there this past summer and saw all my friends again 🙂

I have three younger sisters, they are super annoying but now that I live away from home I miss them, and actually get along with them when I see them haha. I have two cats and a dog. He is a german sheperd, and is very cute. Fun fact about one of my cats: he recently escaped for a day and when he came back he left a bird on my sister’s bed (it was obviously dead, so she obviously freaked out) Now I just have a fish that my roomate and I named Zacharias James Franco; we are not allowed to have pets in our dorms, and the fish was easy to sneak in.

so im Nataly, im 5 feet short. i live in brooklyn NY , went to school in staten islandd. im ecuadorian, i lovee the spanish culture. music, food, partying everything. Im a very picky eater tho it sucks. i eat with my eyes. i want to major in finance, but i like psychology also, i dont know i f i can do a double major… i love puppies, but i got bit once in my ankle so im traumatized of big dogs. i like to have fun with my friends,  i think im very weird. im not so outgoing unless i really know the person.i think im addicted to facebook. i like these blogss  🙂

Hey guys! My name is Michelle Appiah 🙂 I’m 18 and I’m guyanese [Indian descent, but South American/Caribbean]. I went to St Francis Prep High School in Fresh Meadows, Queens. I was a Catholic school girl for 14 years. I’m Catholic but not overly religious going to church every week but I have my beliefs. I’m pretty shy when you first meet me but that goes away after awhile. I like to go out a lot with friends. I go clubbing occasionally, I can honestly say the events that Daniel posts for clubs are fun. I like to read, I’m a huge bookworm but I don’t look like it. I’m a pretty average teenage girl. Uhm what else… I’m not really athletic, I have a bad ankle and I also have pretty bad scoliosis. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is when your spine isn’t straight, it has a curve somewhere along its path and causes bad back pain. My main concerns are failing, getting behind in school,  and not having positive memories to look back on. I want to remember my freshman year as a positive one, not only a year of work. I take school very seriously and, even though I procrastinate sometimes, I don’t like to get behind in my work. I think my experience here will be a good one. There is so much to do around here, not only in the school but in the area around the school. The commute isn’t bad and there is always someplace to go. I really want to be done with this semester and start taking more classes that interest me. Okay, hope I didn’t bore you guys that much. Bye!

Yo yo whats up people of LC 12 lol . Well my name is Daniel Singh as you may know. No middle name unfortunately. I am Guyanese(country in South America incase you don’t know). Being Guyanese is just like living in the Caribbean. We love to party, and listen to reggae and all that good stuff. Im Hindu but I wouldn’t say im THAT religious. I love to have a good time and meet new people. In Queens, I’m in one of the biggest promoter groups called “LiveByTheHenny”. We recently just threw a party on Friday at a club called Moka and it was another success. We turned the club into a carnival basically and had lots of games going on including the dunk tank whiles everyone partied. I also am a photographer at the clubs and events we throw so I make money doing that. Photography has always amazed me and once I got involved around junior year of high school I never put the camera down. It’s a great way to meet new people at the club. If you are ever interested you can check out my facebook and you’ll probably see the flyer up for the event as my default picture. Its usually 18 for girls and 21 for guys (but if you know me ill get you in) lol. I have a enormous sneaker and hat collection. Over 50 pairs of jordans, and maybe around 100 fitteds. I spend a lot of my money on buying new clothes and sneakers. I love hanging out playing sports. I have a lot of basketball and baseball trophies. Im a big football fan but only got to play one season and then I broke my leg. I’m a Jets fan. A lot of my time is taken up from watching sports games. I also like cars. I’m looking to buying a Acura TL or a bmw 335i . I’m very nice to girls and a lot of the times i get called a “flirt” for it but thats fine with me lol. Im looking to major in finance at baruch and staying all 5 years. I love it so far and the people are really nice. Even though i seem like a party animal that just has too much fun, i actually take school seriously. I think that’s about it for now. Sorry if i made you just read a lot of crap but yeah thats me.

Isn’t that an obnoxious title… well, hello. I’m Sasha, born Alexandra, only to be called Sasha my whole life. That’s Russian-parents logic for you.

I guess there are legitimate questions to answer.
I’m different from other people, but who isn’t, we’re all unique. I’ll just say I’m a Hufflepuff, and very much so, but possibly also a Ravenclaw at heart.
In other words I’m fairly hard working and feel bad when I lose, but I’m also accepting and sort of a dreamer (yep, I went there. I’m a dreamer).

I am not afraid of school, in fact I’ve always been the nerd who loves school. My main concerns are failing, that is a fear. In my high school we never had final exams, and if we did they hardly felt serious. Speaking in front of lots of people (like an auditorium full) has more of a physical effect on me than mentally, I blush and my voice cracks. These are the remnants of a previously shy Sasha who didn’t know how to not give a damn (is cursing illegal here? I’ll just assume it is). But in all honesty I’m not scared of college, this is the city I’ve explored for four years already, I’ve walked pretty much everywhere. My high school was small but it was very social- it was encouraged to be weird and express yourself, and I’m not about to stop because my environment is different.

Lastly, in my first year of college I want to get better at studying, accept more people than I already do, and pass all my classes.

i’m pretty sure i am albert avetisian. i’m armenian, not albanian / russian / greek. those are normally what people think i am =\.

i’m kinda glad to be going to baruch because everything about the school seems pretty convinient. the commute is alright, location is great, and from what i’ve been hearing its a good place to get a solid education. i’m looking forward to get past this semester steadily and start taking classes that that interest me more in depth. i am a little worried that i’ll get off track though. especially because i didnt have much of a hard time getting work done in hs. so far it’s clear that actual work must be done in college haha. i definitely think i’ll be a more well rounded college student after this year.

Hi, im John Grosso and im 18 years old. i live on long island in a city called new hyde park. i went to new hyde park memorial high school where i played in sports and participated in many clubs. the sports i play are soccer, bowling and baseball. my favorite teams are MLB-yankees NFL-eagles and NHL-devils. my favorite subject in school is calculus. i want to major in accounting here at baruch and i do plan on staying the full 5 years. i am in a relationship for a couple months now, her name is Rosa, i see her every weekend and thats how i usually spend my weekends. i have a dog, his name is scooby. usually scooby steals my bed at night and i have to sleep on the floor xD well i guess this is a small background about me and fulfills the requirement. alright ttyl

Sundays late blog. sorry that this is late its just that i was too busy last night to write this. today was decent i played in my bowling tournament. played four games and bowled a 198, 214, 189, 232. the 232 was a personal record and because i scored that high it helped me win my 5th tournament in a row. i wasnt happy with my scores though. im used to averaging 219 a tournament and this time i was below that at a 212. im hoping next time i can reach 250 in one game. Sunday night was okay instead of doing my homework i watched my Eagles. a very very disappointing lose. i was really sad so i ended up going to bed. that was my day sorry its late.
