so who am i? i am a freshie attending baruch college obviously. honestly, sometimes i like being a wise guy and make a stupid comment. im very friendly to anyone who seems friendly to me. if you give me a bad vibe, i’ll automatically block you out. i was never a hard working student in school. i always do things good enough to get a B. i’d never let myself fall down to a C and never have the motivation to become an A student. this is a hard question…i sometimes don’t know who i am actually. you guys can judge me differently because i can be anything.

The top three concerns i have about my freshman year at baruch is actually trying to become an A student so i can easily transfer out into another school to dorm, meeting new friends, and also gaining experience in everything and get used to the college work.

schooling in baruch is almost like highschool. im still in the city, and going home everyday after school. i want to experience dorming which is why i actually want to transfer out. when i applied to colleges, i wanted to stay in the city. when i started getting my acceptance letters, i actually wanted to dorm but that was a little too late. i want to school outside of new york and be alone, hold more responsibilities and hopefully have a lot more fun.

i think my first year in baruch would actually make me a little more mature. it will also teach me many new things but thats obvious. i hope to meet many more people so i’d have connections in the future all around and finding a job would be so much easier. well thats all i have to say for this blog, nights guys!

I know its after midnight so i’ll keep this short and simple. here is my daily blog. today was an amazing day. i saw R for the first time in a week. i surprised her by getting all dressed up in a suit and taking her to a museum. after the museum we went to the shake shack. my first time having it, it was decent. we got lost in the subway and walked 35 blocks x_x it was an adventure though and we do love those. after our day we went back to her dorm and i gave her the tickets. she was so shocked and surprise that she ended up crying. taylor swift is her idol and now she’ll get to see her in person. thoughout the day we did couple like things 😉 overall this was a great day because she was really happy even though i spent over $300 x_x but she is so worth it though she doesnt know the price so keep that on the DL. ive been up for over 19 hours now so im going to bed. goodnight. tomorrow i may skip the daily blog and do the assigned blog or possibly both it depends how i feel after the tournament and the Eagle game.

Hi, everyone, I’m Matt, and I’m from Ossining, NY, which is in Westchester County (it’s NOT upstate if you are wondering). I’d say I’m a shy, young man, who’s trying to be more social here at Baruch. My top three concerns this year are:

1. Making new friends–College would not be fun without friends so I’m trying hard to talk more than I usually do.

2. Getting good grades–College seems a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I’m trying to ace my classes and maybe make the dean’s list.

3. Joining clubs–I’m interested in joining a few clubs to get to better know people, but this can wait a little bit once I get a breather from all the homework.

I think Baruch College’s Learning Community program will make this an easier transition than if I had gone anywhere else.

I hope in my first year at Baruch that I learn some new things, make new friends, and become a better person. I think I have some pretty cool classmates, and that’s a good way to end this first post.

My name is Nicole. I’m 17 years old, Catholic, and Albanian and Yugoslavian (Montenegro to be specific). I think I’m pretty unique as I come from the Bronx. Everywhere I go I seem to stick out, either by being the only white girl in my youth ministry at church or being the only girl from the Bronx in my LC. Not to mention, even though I’m Albanian I don’t know my language at all. In fact I’m more interested in other cultures. Right now I wanna learn Japanese (at a fluent level), Korean, Chinese and Spanish (since I live in the Bronx). I like video games and anime. Church is a big part of me, I’m a leader in my youth ministry (there is six of us). We do Wednesday meetings and retreats and various other events for the parish. I also teach little kids in Sunday school.

My top three concerns for my freshman year at Baruch are as followed:

1. Writing well. Because I don’t want to be an atrocious writer in college. I want to get As on my papers.
2. Being able to balance everything that’s in my life. From church, boyfriend, school, club and possibly work. No balance= bad grades. My parents are paying for my education so I will work hard to make them proud.
3. Developing long lasting friendships. I don’t want my next four years to be lonely.

sup LC 12, here’s my first blog and i’ll take this opportunity to say to Michelle that we’re inviting you to come with us to an Indian restaurant with our hybrid professors. They want to take us during our freshmen seminar time slot. We should all go, and i’m sure you would love to join us.

So yeah, today’s a Saturday and i’m cramming as much homework as I can during this weekend. Hopefully i’ll get everything done in these next two days so I can relax during the week!

Today is september 16th 2011 9:22pm. Today my phone informed me that this weekend marks my anniversary with R all i have to say is thank god for smart phones otherwise i would be screwed xD well yesterday i talked about my tournament. today i qualified for it and played my first two games of it. in my first game i only bowled a 189 and that ranked me at 7th out of 25. my second game i bowled a 233 and that bumped me all the way up to rank 2nd. 233 is not a personal best but it is a tournament best for me. my next four games all come on sunday and i expect to bring home a trophy and a cash prize 😀 today i went to the bank because i realized i was poor and museums actually cost money so i had to withdraw some big bills for tomorrow. im all set for tomorrow now, im hoping R enjoys all her surprises. i keep pushing back my math homework which i should really do because its due this sunday and i wont be home tomorrow. today i actually baked, i thought id surprise R with a birthday cup cake thing haha i was so wrong, the dumbest move ive ever made. the cupcakes came out undercooked the first time then overcooked the second time. smh. tonight i plan on starting that math homework but i’ll probably just watch the yankee game. today was definitely a more eventful day than the past few.

yeah so thats it. these blogs are going to get more and more shorter bc its a waste of time on this site. peace.

so the previous blog was a test to see if this is where i would be writing my stuff since i’m not that familiar with this blogging website. as you may or may not know, i no longer blog about anything. maybe a year ago i would use tumblr but as it became popular i stopped. once in awhile i would blog but into a random account that has no friends and no one knows it’s me. however, since this blog is required and has a bundle of peeps reading my stuff, i honestly won’t blog about anything personal like my problems in life or whatever. also i dont plan to use correct grammer exactly and all that since this is just a blog, i figured that’s too much work. so as you all may know, my name is Jackie Luu and im currently 18. my birthday is on january 8th so i’m probably one of the oldest? unless someone got left back. i worked in pinkberry for about 8 months, from last year september to around june this year? i quit because we got a new shiftlead and i didnt like how she ran things. im not a perfectionist but i like things usually done right. many team members weren’t capable of maintaining the store how it should be which got pretty frustrating. although the workers didn’t do things like how they should, most of them were extremely cool people to be around. yeah i feel like this is getting too long for nothing so i’ll just about finish up. i play handball, basket ball (not as often anymore but im still a shooter), ping pong and bowling. i have an interest in cars, i got my license a month after i turned 17 and i took drivers ed in highschool so i can get my class d at 17, not dj. i used to be a little into shoes but now i only collect airmax95’s. i also plan to transfer out in a year, hopefully my gpa will be good enough. well this is beginning to get worse than our reading for english so i’ll probably end it here. btw i don’t think i had a summer anthem so…yeah. laters!

today is september 15th 2011 8:48pm. another early blog. today was a rather quick day. i didnt have my first class. i actually slept until noon today for the first time since school started. it felt really good and was definitely need. the weather was nasty today. new hyde park got drenched with rain. afterschool today i started my first bowling tournament of the fall. played only one game today but i did well. i bowled a 197 with 5 strikes. my next game is tomorrow and if i bowl over a small 120 i will qualify for the tournament. it’ll be pretty easy to get the 120 so im not nervous. if i do bowl the 120 later that night the tournament begins. theres 2 games friday and 4 games sunday… saturday is an off day. at the end of the 6 games the bowler with the highest score wins the tournament, its pretty simple. anyway back to today, i ran into an old friend on the train today, i havent seen this kid since 8th grade so that was pretty cool. my day was pretty simple, the biggest thing being the bowling and thats really about it. tonight i’ll probably oovoo with R and write in her birthday card x__x i have no idea why thats taking me this long. well thats it for tonight. peace

today is September 14th 2011 7:54pm. i am writing my daily blog early today because i am exhausted from school. today i realized that i better get my histoy textbook soon because i bombed my quiz. today i borrowed a baruch laptop so i could go on facebook and aim during psychology. im going to do this more often because time flew fast. i got news that i will see R this saturday. since her birthday is monday im going to take her out to a museum and a restaurant. for her birthday gift i got her taylor swift tickets. i really think she’ll like them because shes an obsessed fan. today i also got my haircut today, i really needed it my hair looked like the end of a mop.  probably wont oovoo tonight but i will definitely watch the Yankee game, hoping Mo gets number 601 tonight. i guess today was rather boring hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting. its early but i guess goodnight and i’ll be back tomorrow.

Hey guys! i usually blog on a different website but for the next month im going to blog on here to help out our class.

so today is September 13th 11:50pm. Im going to keep this one short because it is my first on this new site. So today was a pretty good day, much better than yesterday. im starting to get used to this tiring commute every morning. but im still missing my friends back home and especially R. English was pretty normal today which was shocking and i have no additional work to do today. During my commute home an old man hit me with his suitcase, it seemed like an accident but with some intention. its crazy what people would do for a seat on the train. tonight instead of doing my homework for math i oovooed with R, im starting to miss her a lot. i hope to see her Saturday. its 11:55pm i think im going to skip my math homework for the night and just go to bed. Wednesday is my longest day. JOY. goodnight
