Blog deadlines

There will be 3 mandatory blog homework assignments for the semester. I will post both the due dates and prompt for the blog posts. The assignment is not counted as completed until it is posted as an individual and separate post. Be mindful NOT to post your assignment as a “comment” on a classmates blog post because I will not count it and make sure you are not creating a Blog of your own. Feel free to comment on the blog posts of others but that will not be enough.

*see page 40 in your Baruch College student planner for the blogging assignments, but here they are again as well.

Three Blog Posts:

  • The theme for this year’s PERFORMING DIASPORAS: IDENTITIES IN MOTION project is “Who Do You Think You Are?” Reflect on the following four questions, and craft a response of no more than 500 words. Feel free to integrate media into your post!

a) Tell us who you think YOU are!

b) Share your top 3 concerns about your freshman year at Baruch College and explain why.

c) So far, what do you think will make your Baruch College experience different from your high school experience?

d) How do you think your first year at College will change you?

due BY Thursday September 15th, 2011.

  • Post the MONOLOGUE you’ve developed in your seminar, along with a self-portrait (which can be a photograph, an image, a cartoon, a drawing, or some other depiction of how you see yourself).

due BY Thursday October 20th, 2011.

  • Now that your first semester at Baruch College is nearly complete, how was it? Reflect on the following 4 questions, and craft a response of no more than 500 words. Feel free to integrate media into your post!

a) Tell us how your experience at Baruch College has lived up to your expectations? Not lived up to your expectations? Exceeded your expectations?

b) How well do you think your first semester at Baruch College went?

c) What would you do differently during your first semester if you could do it all again?

d) How have you  changed since you started at Baruch College?

due BY Thursday December 1st, 2011.
