How to e-mail a professor

Hey guys, you need to put a pseudo e-mail, including a subject line, to an anonymous professor addressing one of the three scenarios below.

1. You are having difficulty figuring out a specific homework exercise.

2. You received a semester grade of B- in one of your classes but based on your own records you think you earned an A.

3. You missed the midterm due to an illness.

Monologue

Post the monologue you’ve developed and presented in class, along with a self-portrait (which can be a photograph, an image, a cartoon, a drawing, or some other depiction of how you see yourself).

Fashion Tips

What stores in the city do you rely on to update your wardrobe? Share your fashion tips with your Freshman Seminar class! Consider taking photos of the merchandise available in these stores and/or post photos of yourself or others wearing the things you love from said stores.

Feel free to add good/bad experiences you had with fashion. 🙂

What Doesn’t Work?

Take and share a picture of something at Baruch that “doesn’t work.” It could be regarding technology or organization structures that you find to be a problem. Feel free to think outside of the box and expand beyond technology or organization structures. What would you do to fix this problem? How could fixing this problem be beneficial to Baruch staff, students, and guests?

Good Eats

Hey everyone! Where do you find yourself going when it’s time to eat?

Write a restaurant review of a local food cart or a budget-friendly lunch spot in the Baruch areas. Where is it? What is the atmosphere like? What do you like/don’t like about the place? What did you order? Would you recommend it to your peers? Is it budget-friendly?

Include pictures if you want. 🙂

How was Convocation?

Hey everyone! I know I wasn’t with you much at Convocation and I wasn’t able to sit through the long activities with you guys. But tell me how Convocation was.

What was your favorite and least favorite activity and why? Did you get to meet new people? And how was the indoor block party/barbecue?

To refresh your memories, your activities were:

1. First Year Experience Seminar (this is where we talked about the freshman text)

2. Performance of “Voices III”

3. “Sexuality: Making Peace with Passion”

4. ADL Diversity Training

and

5. Baruch Beginnings Block Party & Barbecue (It’s too bad it rained because it would have been totally awesome outside.)

Note: This isn’t a mandatory blog but I’m interested in what you guys thought and we can share our experiences with Convocation together! So be honest! LOL. 🙂
