Hey fellow blockmates! The 8 pictures that I’m putting below are of the things that I like and what I think best describes me.
This is a picture of Queens Center Mall. I’m from Elmhurst, and I just happen to live right next to this place so my friends and I usually hang out around here when we’re bored and have nothing to do. It’s pretty much like our second home!
This place is called Joju and it’s probably one of my favorite places to eat and hang out. It’s also in Elmhurst so it is really easy for me to get to. The bubble tea there is great and they also sell really, really tasty vietnamese sandwiches. If you haven’t tried those two things, you definitely should!
Whenever someone hears my name, they often wonder what nationality I am because it’s not your typical asian name. It’s actually Thai! Thai names (especially last names) tend to be really long, which makes it hard for people to pronounce. People get my name wrong all the time but over the years (I’ve been called Nick Cannon by my closest friends) but I’ve gotten used to it.
This is a picture from a trip to Lake George, which is part of the Adirondack Mountains. We go there almost every summer with family friends and stay there for a few days! There’s horseback riding (probably my favorite thing to do there), fishing, kayaking and lots of other fun stuff to do, including arcades and a really good pancake house called the Lone Bull that we usually go to for breakfast. It’s a great place for family vacations and it’s always nice to get away from the city once in a while.
Ever since I was small, I’ve been a really big dog lover. I don’t own one but when I’m old enough to live on my own, I’ll definitely get myself one. Golden Retrievers have always been my favorite because they’re intelligent, smart, loving and I just find them really cute.
Whenever I want to procrastinate or whenever I’m bored, I go on youtube and watch random videos. There are tons and tons of funny videos out there that can just brighten up your day, from little kids dancing to just watching people rant. It’s also a really good way to waste time.
I’m a sucker for corny jokes! I’m one of those people that would start hysterically laughing at something other people might not find funny. I find peoples’ laughs contagious so if you’re laughing, I’m most likely laughing with you! The answer to that joke is Investigator by the way, get it? Hahaha.
My high school was located on the Queens College Campus and there would be at least four halal carts around every single day. Whenever I walked by, I would love the smell of it and ever since I tried it, I’ve been in love with it ever since. Halal drenched in white sauce is probably the best thing to eat on those days when nothing else comes to mind.
Nichanan, thank you for these large images and for taking the time to explain their personal meanings! You shared information regarding both your heritage and your interests. Your tone was also very conversational and implied some humor, which is great for this type of writing!
