An-Khe Tomer? Who is he?
An-khe Tomer… Its not easy to describe myself. I decided to make a playlist and write a little bit about myself.
Music is a great part of my life, so I have decided to make a playlist to describe myself. First of all, I play guitar and I absolutely love METAL. Everything from Symphonic Black Metal to Progressive Metal, to Goregrind, to Technical Deathmetal. Everything about it. Music, in general, keeps me sane, but there is something about metal, specifically, that appeals to me. Many people hear metal and only hear noise. But I listen to metal and it is soothing. The heavy riffs, the brutal vocals, and the specific groove. I love complex music. I like to be challenged. Much of the music that I listen to supplies those challenges. The complex time signatures, the time signature changes, the key changes, the speed and the polyrhythms. Each of the bands listed in my playlist represents something that I like about the band, their ideology while creating the music, the complexities of the music, or the feeling that I get when I listen to them.
Other than music, I absolutely love physics and math. I like to try to understand the universe as well as our Earth and the cultures that make up Humankind. I enjoy learning about ancient cultures and mythologies. One that catches my interest the most is Ancient Egyptian Mythology. Traveling is one way that I attempt to witness, experience, and understand these groups of people. I also am in love with body modification. I have 12 piercings; 8 on my ears, my tongue, my eyebrow, and two on my lip. My nose was pierced but it closed. I also have one tattoo of an Ankh on my arm. I feel that it is one of the oldest art forms and still should be more widely accepted. Tattoos, scarification, stretched holes, horns, branding, and piercings are some of the most beautiful things that could happen to a human body.
Outside of my beliefs and views on the world, I love to enjoy myself, just like every other human being on this planet. I play my guitar most of the time. It allows me to leave this world temporarily and come back with a clear mind. I longboard and read a lot as well. Extreme sports are also my place of zen. I love to dirtbike, jetski, wakeboard, snowboard, waterski, and mountain bike. The adrenaline is what brings me back to it. The speed, excitement, wind in my face, and the challenge of getting spending less time wiping out pushes me to keep at it.
Here is my playlist.
3. Fleshgod Apocalypse – The Violation
4. Cerebral Bore – Maniacal Miscreation
5. The Faceless – Sons of Belial
7. Animals as Leaders – Isolated Incidents

I can’t believe you love math and physics, An-khe! I admire that very much! Personally, I hate math and sciences–they’re my weakest subjects. LOL. I also love Ancient Egyptian mythology. Actually, I love mythology in general. And our FRO group seems to be very athletic and musically talented!

An-Khe — thanks for the introduction to some good metal music. It’s never been my go-to music before, but maybe that will change!
