My time at Baruch

My experience at Baruch has been great so far. I have met many different people in my block and have got close to them. It’s great to have friends to talk to and depend on in a new school environment. However of course, I still do have a bit of the mentality that I had in my last year in high school. I’m still a bit lazy due to the fact that I always put off my work to the last minute or almost last minute at least. I believe that this is called a procrastinator? Yes I’m sure that I am the definition of a procrastinator. I have been one since I was young, am still now and probably still will be in the future. I have been trying to change this, believe me. But it’s very difficult to keep the momentum. When I do my work early, before it’s due (for example, this blog), I feel really good when I complete the task. And forcing myself to not procrastinate, is pretty hard. It’s a constant fight with my conscious, “Time to start on homework…it’s not due yet?…okay, I’ll be sure to do that tomorrow.” That’s pretty much what happens everytime and this meme definitely represents my procrastination completely. I start off with “I have so much time” and ending frantically with “Oh my god, I don’t have enough time to do this”. However I will definitely be working towards changing this for the future semesters.

Good for you for getting the blog done in advance of the deadline! Time management takes practice, but I’m sure that if you commit to it you can leave your procrastinating behind!
