NO-CARD

Baruch Alex

My first semester at Baruch was interesting to say the least.  In the beginning I hated it because I had no friends, and it was just lonely.  Now I feel a little better that i made new friends, and they’re pretty cool people.  I didn’t think i was gonna find friends who were similar to me, but I did.  this picture is a picture of my new car.  I lost my car in hurricane sandy and i got a new one.  It is pretty damn awesome, i love it.  It’s fast as hell.  It doesn’t really have anything to do with baruch, but yeah uh it happened during this semester so why not post a picture of it!  i love cars and i love my new car.  i hope one day to maybe get a job working on cars, not a mechanic though, because they do not make a comfortable amount of money.  I hope to either be a cop, dea agent, client officer, or someone who works with cars.  Ken block is the man, maybe i can be like him some day, if you don’t know who he is, maybe you should look him up, because he really is the man!

Rubin Museum

My experience at the Rubin Museum was enjoyable.  I am not really a fan of art, but i thought the art we saw at the Rubin Museum was interesting.  i thought the lions, that looked like dragons were pretty awesome, i wanted to steal one and put it in my room, but of course that wasn’t acceptable.  it also felt like i was in indian jones when we went in to the praying room.  all the candles and stuff, like in the last crusade when he goes into the room and has to choose a grail.  the paintings and maps were pretty lame.  i thought the statue with sixteen arms was pretty cool.  it had weapons missing because it was killing evil demons in the form of oxes, it then was pulling the demons out of the oxes.  i can defiantly see that being on like a tv stand in my house, its most likey expensive, so I’m gonna have to pass. i maybe would like to go back there sometime and see what else is in there.  we only got a tour of like the first three floors, so I’m not too sure how much bigger the museum is, but stuff like that, like that culture has always captured my interest.  I’m more into like the asian culture though, like samurai swords, and like dragons and koi fish, that stuff is pretty gangster..

“Unexpected”

Since I have your attention for about the next 90 seconds, you better listen up.  Every other day I participant in an activity in which my mom hates!  I drive down to this designated place, and start to stretch.  Don’t want to pull a muscle; I hear my dads voice in the back of my head.  A lot of people ask why I do it; it’s just a good way to relieve stress.  I then start to gear up.  Wrap my hands, tie my boots, and finally put the gloves on.  In case your getting the wrong impression, I am talking about fighting.  Yes, that is right, little old Alex, a fighter.  Who would of ever expected it?  I mean I’m short and friendly, well at least I think.  When I tell people I’ve been fighting in MMA, which is mixed martial arts for those of you who are still stuck in the past, and Shotokan style a lot of people’s minds are blown.  And no, in case you’re thinking I break blocks of wood with my hands, or I am a master with nunchucks, you are gravely mistaken.  See your place of work might be in an office, or delivering papers or teaching a class, but mine is inside a six fenced caged, where two fighters beat each other half to death.  I still train everyday, apparently I am very good when it comes to hand to hand boxing, but I am not so good on the floor.  Unfortunately MMA is a mixture of boxing and grappling, a lot of people tell me to quit and just do boxing, which I did do for 2 years, but I don’t want to label myself a quitter.  Because I am not a quitter!!! Never have been never will be.  In 2010, I won first place in the United States 15-16 year old Super Lightweight division.  I faced kids from all over the US and won.  Do you know what it is like to win a competition like that?  The feeling is unreal having all those people cheer for you.  I knew I was good but I didn’t know I was that good!  I am going to enter a tournament called NAGA in February this is a tournament that tests your grappling skills, and you know what, I plan on taking first place.  You know why?  Because I am good at what I do!  And anyone who thinks otherwise can come see me in the cage!

i am re writing this because it wasn’t long enough the first time.  music has a very big impact on me, it helps me get to school in the morning, helps me get through my long hard days, helps me communicate with the people around me.  i love rap music and i love alternative music. some of my favorite bands would consist of blink 182, a day to remember, linkin park, rush, etc. My favorite rap groups are G.O.O.D. Music, odd future wolf gang, wu tang clan, new world order.  it was hard for me to pick a favorite song by kanye west, because he is one of my favorite artist, and everything he produces is just so good, but i chose “Good Life” because that was the song that got me hooked into him.  I can literally listen to Kanye West for days, he is really an amazing artist.  Kid cudi, as lame as it sounds helped me get through some difficult phases in my life.  He music is so mellow, and just so real.  He raps about things such as life, and struggles, not money, cars and girls like every other rapper out there.the two songs i put on here by him are two of his newest songs, and they are two of his best.  i have been listening to kid cudi since 8th grade, and he never fails to amaze me.  He is by far my favorite artist of all time.  i put daylight on here by matt&kim because it was one of the first songs i learned to play on the piano, which i play pretty good. Next what i put on here was basically rivals of different time periods, some people say odd future is the new wu tang..? if you say that you deserve to be shot, i put on oldie by odd future because it has almost everyone in OF have at least one verse, and C.R.E.A.M. by the wu tang clan, same theory.  Wu Tang is legendary.  You can not call yourself a fan of rap if you dont listen or like Wu tang.

The next rapper i put on here is earl sweatshirt.  many say earl sweatshirt is the future of rap, a dying industrial of sell outs.  But earl brings something new to the table.  He is the same age as me, spitting lyrics that are unheard of.  He is the light at the end of the tunnel for rap, which is good because rap and hip hop keep me sane.  But dont get me wrong, i hate mainstream rappers such as drake, lil wayne, nicki minja, they shouldn’t even call themselves artists.

The next song i put on here, punching in dream by the naked and famous has a lot of personal meaning too me between me and my girlfriend.  I dont want to share this on a blog.

A lot of people hate on mac miller but personally i think he’s the man.  his beats add a new “flavor” to the rap game. he is another part of hope for the rap game.

the final song i have on here is silver and cold, by afi, i put this on because i needed at least one alternative song on here, and i chose this one because afi set the foundation for bands like blink, adtr, etc.
