The workshop Voices was a presentation of the monologues that all the freshmen seminar classes needed to write. Always thought going to a school show to listen to what other people thought was kind of lame. But i guess college changes things. Voices was a great experience i went in very skeptical, but was later proved wrong. After the first presentation i thought wow i’m going through the same thing. The monologues really showed that i’m not alone  There are so many other freshmen that are going thought the same thing i am. I honestly thought that it would be extremely long but it happened to not be as long, which was good and kind of bad. i hoped that there would be more because they seemed very interesting, but i also really want to leave because i wanted to get food.

My experience at baruch so far is not bad at all. Basically as a baruch student athlete i have it pretty good. At first i had doubts about going to baruch because of the terrible commute but after a while its not as bad. What really made my experience at baruch awesome is my team not only do i love playing volleyball, im playing the sport i love with a bunch of girls that i love. They have really made my time here great. Not only playing with them made me happy but winning the cuny athletic conference really made this a happy ending. Im looking forward to starting my volleyball spring season which involves lots of hard work, but i can’t wait.

The other day I found something on tumblr that mentions how the sibling order take part in the personality of the person. It says that the oldest child is most likely to come off as bossy becuase they have to have responsibility at a young age. They are people pleasers and tend to stay in relationships longer, they are perfectionist and put themselves under lots of pressure. The middle child is often the rebel, they often feel as if their life was not fair. They are independent and very stubborn. The youngest child most likely will behave as if they are the only child, they like attention and being liked by others, They are able to manipulate people into doing what they want.

Its scary how that this tumblr post is so realistic. I am the youngest child.

Music is a big part of my daily life because i’m always on the go. The commute to baruch is around one hour and forty five minutes so its very easy for me to sit or stand in the subway plug in my earphones and listen to music for the full ride there and back. I don’t really have a specific genre that I like to listen to, basically I usually like all music. Some songs that I put on my playlist are just the songs that I like now or what i’m in the mood for but some songs on the playlist are my favorite or have a special meaning to me. The song cinema by skrillex is one of my favorite rave songs and it brings me back to the good times of high school with my best friends. The song The Gift, and Come Running Home are my favorite religious songs. They have great meaning when you listen to what the song is saying. The song I See The Light came from one of my all time favorite movies Tangled. This song other than the melody being awesome but the lyrics are very touching. It talks about how even though you are in the dark right now you hang in there and you will eventually see the light. I’m usually not a fan of the asian/chinese music but the song hand in hand was created by not only one but groups of famous chinese/taiwanese singers trying to help create awareness on the natural disasters that happened in china. Due to the song being a big hit there were many donations given to help those that were affected by the earthquake and hurricanes. The Song for the love of the princess is just a melody but it is very calming i listen to music like this when i feel that i need to focus and buckle down on something. Usually studying or doing homework. But if i feel like it has been a long long day ill turn up my ipod into some classical music.

Ill probably update and add a little more later because i need to catch a train to go to baruch for a big volleyball game tonight 😮
