baruch voices

Posted by Ariel Duran in Uncategorized

The performance was pretty cool.  I just was hoping they would have performed one of the monologues from our class.  Although some of the other monologues performed were interesting.  I can’t really remember any that I could post about but they were pretty cool.

Baruch Voices

Overall I enjoyed the performances of the monologues that were made. They entertained at the same time they reminded me of the play we had seen in the beginning of the year. I thought that the girls in the play were pretty cute. I also thought the guys in the play were pretty cute 😉  lol… I thought the actors were very talented and enjoyed myself.

Experience at Baruch

Posted by kr144777 in Uncategorized

My experience at Baruch has been like this rollar coaster. There have been many new spins and twists that I have not yet become accustom to. Baruch has definitely proved to be a challenge for me because of all of the newly acquired freedoms. For the most part I have enjoyed being a student in Baruch. I have met new people and learned new study habits to help me get through my classes.

Monologue

If I had to give someone an advice it would be to get an Iphone. I was happy when I got my Iphone because it was cool. A moment i remember was when my dog would drink water when I had just gotten him. He was very small but had very large ears. His ears would always get wet when he would drink water. He is really fat now because he eats a lot of food and sleeps all day, just like me.

Baruch Voices

The Baruch voices was OK. It was the same as the one done at the beginning of the year with just different monologues. It was interesting at first but a second time was just boring and pointless, even with new monologues. I was kind of disappointed that neither mine nor any of my friends monologues got performed, even though they were chosen. I think I would have enjoyed the voices more if mine or my friends monologues was performed. As I said before the performance was OK not amazing. Would have liked it more if mine or my friends monologues were performed.

My first semester at Baruch

Posted by ix147455 in Uncategorized

My first three months at Baruch have been interesting. It’s a nice change of pace to be in New York City and off Staten Island. Coming from a specialized high school, the work load has been very easy to deal with. I like the freedom college gives you, you can sign up for the classes you want (after this term), decide when and when not to go to class, and what you want to do with your life. This isn’t high school where you’re forced to be here, everyone is at Baruch because they want to be. Professor’s treat you like adults and you’re allowed to do what you want. It’s not a true college experience because its a CUNY, but it’s definitely a step up from high school and i’ve made some good friends here so far

Voices

I find Voices to be an okay event preparing freshman to start dealing with the problems that arise from going to college as well as reflection from those who managed to pass their first semester. I really enjoyed the performances and appreciate that Baruch understands the dangers as well as the need to be more responsible.

My Experience at Baruch so Far

I think attention is a huge problem for me during class because during high school; this is about 90 minutes and you can get bored pretty fast in that time. This is further exacerbated when the professor talks in monotone or has an accent. Besides from attention issues is how expenses on food and textbooks add up and leave you broke. College forces people to be more responsible because being broke or failing classes are not fun. Most importantly, you get to pursue your dreams and meet new friends who you can fall asleep in class with.

Voices

It was overall, an okay performance. Some acts were honestly boring, and some I could really relate to. Like the skit when the Asian kid had a crush on this girl, but everything turned around when he found out that she smokes. It’s a very common thing to happen to guys. We see a really cute girl and want to get to know her, but once she takes out a box of cigarettes… we turn our heads away and forget about ever trying to get to know her. For many of us guys, it’s almost like a requirement. The girl can not be a smoker.
