Email to Professor – Irving Shabot

Professor Gluck,

I am emailing you to inform you that I will not be able to attend class today (11/12/12). I have been unable to make it to New York from New Jersey due to NJTransit lines being out of service. My last option is now to take a bus that doesn’t arrive to New York until after class ends. My apologies and this will hopefully not happen again.

Thank you,
Irving J Shabot

Dear Professor Riech,

I wanted to inform you that I will not be attending class this Sunday. It is extremely difficult for me to come in to school since I have a job that I can’t miss. I don’t think it is fair to have class this Sunday, no other teacher is teaching us. Please consider that most of the class will not be there this Sunday and I would appreciate it if you don’t teach that much.

Thank you,
Michael Jemal

Professor,

Please excuse my absence yesterday, November 11th. My house was completely demolished by Hurricane Sandy and our family is making the way through recovery. I am floating in my living room, as I email you, on the broken door of my bedroom. During this tragedy, I have also lost my younger brother and my pet cat Mr. White to the strangling arms of the waters. I understand that I have missed the exam but I hope that we can work something out once I put the pieces of what’s left of my life back together.

Thank you,

Howard, hurricane survivor

Professor Hinds,

Hi Professor, unfortunately I just saw that my grade in class was a B- I was wondering why. I have done all my readings, homework, and participated in class. I also have handed in the essays that you have assigned in class on time. I haven’t gotten lower than an A- on an essay. I was just concerned about this. I was wondering if I could talk to you in person, maybe sometime during your office hours. Please let me know when you are available to discuss this.

Thanks,

-Manraj Chawla
