Oh man, I’ve got everything planned out perfectly.I found the workshop on Tuesday very helpful with my planning. I already made a back up schedule in case my first schedule doesn’t work out. Hopefully it does though, that would be great. I really hope the classes I want to take are open. I’m a bit nervous about this actually. It feels like Black Friday all over again. Have to rush and get the best classes first before others get their hands on them. I can’t wait!
Career Goal-Qiyuan Chen
I don’t have a specific career that I’m desperate to have, but I do plan on majoring in computer engineering related fields, because it is the only subject that interest me a bit and also can lead to success. Despite that I’m in Baruch right now, I do hope to be able to transfer over to a school related to my career in the near future. I certainly do hope that my gpa will be good enough to make it to stony brook or better schools.
Registration Day-Qiyuan Chen
Registration Day have not been a problem for me as that I already know what classes I’m taking along with which professor is the best for me because of ratemyprofessor. I’m just praying that none of my desire classes will be completely full by the 29th. The session really help me because it made me realize some classes are necessary to take next semester. The guy also help me realize which classes should I take to open up more choices for me.
Registration Day- Tiffany Mazza
Registering for the next semester has not been a big problem for me. I have been using the advice from the guidance counselor we met with last week and rate my professor as I make my schedule for the spring semester. I haven’t had many problems with registering except for the fact that some classes I need for the spring semester are not on the days or times that I wanted. Other than this I feel pretty confident with choosing my schedule. I have been making up a few different schedules just in case some of my options are not available and I think this is very helpful for me. Overall, i am very excited to register for next semester so I can have new classes and meet more new people.
Leading Up to Registration- Justin Musumarra
The academic advisement session really helped me figure out what classes to register for for next semester. I had made one schedule that I was going to submit when registration came, but little did I know two of the classes I was going to register for I can’t take yet. I was looking to take CIS and ACC, but I can’t take CIS until I take BUS 1000 and I can’t take ACC until I have 30 credits. Since I am already credited for pre-calculus and calculus I need to fill in my semester with other electives along with the pre-requisites I need for admittance into the business school.
Registration Day (Christine Shin)
I’ve been somewhat stressing about which classes I should take, but last Tuesdays class helped me understand which classes and how many classes I needed to take to get into the business school. So I’ve been online looking at the classes available to me, creating a mock schedule, etc. And it’ s been easy so far, but the only annoying thing is finding a good professor with a good time. Hopefully everything will work out.
Leading up to Registration Day-Michael Sheridan
Well I’ve been looking at class online and seeing if there were spots open. I’ve also been looking at some of the professors online and seeing what ratings they have. I found the academic adviser session on Tuesday very helpful. He was able to point out some of the classes we will have to take next semester and in the future. So that was very helpful and even gave me different options to choose from next semester. My appointment to pick my classes is on Thursday the 29th so until then I will be looking up different class and their availability. I hope I get the classes that I want but if not I’ll just have to deal with it.
Registration Day-Jessica Hong
Registration Day was really helpful in understanding core requirements. Although, I believe we briefly went over the same thing during freshmen orientations. One thing that frustrates me is the fact that I have watch all class that I’ve pick in advance being closed down because they ran out of seats. My appointment is on the up coming thursday and half of the classes that i picked out two week ago are closed. Most likely going try out for honors in order to get the first picks for the next, next semester.
Career Goal- Jessica Hong
As a child, I always wanted be to an artist; I wanted to work for Pixar or Disney. But because of my cultural background I am limited to career choices. Art is constantly ridiculed by my family and they honestly believe that I would be starving artist at Union Square. Despite gaining art scholarships from out-of state colleges, I was still bard from art major. I dislike the idea of staying in cubical and behind a desk, I also dislike math. I was planning to be an autistic therapist or anesthesiologist or nurse practitioner but then again I am in Baruch College, a business school. However, I plan to transfer to Stony after two years to pursue a medical career.

Finding classes for next semester has been very simple. The only problem I have encountered so far is not being able to find good professors, other than that this has been very simple. All the classes I need are in the perfect time slots for me, I guess I got lucky.
