The meeting last Tuesday was a good recap for me. Most of my questions I still had in my head that I procrastinated in answering were answered and now, I have a solid general idea on what classes to take the next few semesters. I feel less stressed now but I still need to make a lot of possible schedules in case my classes are filled up completely. Being a freshman sucks but we all have to go through it. I’m still contemplating between trying to fit my classes into a Monday/Wednesday or a Tuesday/Thursday schedule. Although I would have a lot of days off, the two days I have class would really suck. Another possibility would be classes all 5 days but early in the morning. I want to have a job next semester; an intern would definitely be nice but as a freshman, I don’t think it is quite possible. Finding a job is not that hard, but a job that I can put on my resume to impress people isn’t. Hopefully things will work out perfectly next semester.

For me, I do not necessarily have a dream job. However, I have a good amount of options that I would be content with. The first option I am aiming for is being what my brother is. I don’t know his exact position because he moved to yet another house further away from home and I haven’t asked him recently, but last time I checked, it was a senior digital analyst. I’ve looked at the work and it seems interesting. The money flow that goes with it is spectacular, too! However, I don’t wish to base my career goal just for money. As pay increases, so does the workflow. I’d rather have a relaxing job and have time to simply have fun with friends. My fallback plan to open a small business or a restaurant with my good friend. Although the money wouldn’t be as great as a serious business job, I think I would enjoy managing a restaurant much more than a desk job. Then again, I love dressing up with a suit and tie! All in all, my primary goal is still to dual major and to be just like my brother (hopefully in the same field and same company ^^), but if that does not turn out well, I have my backup plan where I start my own establishment with my friend.
Registration Day (Alex Wieckowski)
As a freshman, I found our meeting last Tuesday to be very important because it answered a lot of questions that I had. I wasn’t sure which classes I was required to take and which classes I should take for my major. It helped me out and know I feel less stressed. As a freshman I know we pick last and that the classes with good Professors will most likely be taken so my hopes aren’t too high for next semester. However I will try to make a schedule with Fridays off because three day weekends are relaxing. Good luck with your classes everyone.
Regristration day – Wan Yn Lee
I think most of the information that they presented on Tuesday was mostly the same information they told us on orientation day, but they did clear up some things for me. My only concern about registering for classes is the gaps in my schedule. I’d rather come in early morning, painful as it may be, than loiter around campus for hours and hours. Hopefully, I’ll be able to build myself a nice schedule even though we pretty much get the most horrible choices.

What do I want to do with my life in the future? This is a question that has been haunting me for years. For a period of time, I was certain that I wanted to go in the criminal justice field and eventually work in the FBI. However, this reality became a dream for me when I realized that it was a stretch. Now that I’m in Baruch and not John Jay, I also imagine myself as the head of a business corporation in 10 years. Being a businessman would be more practical and ideal for me. However, math is my worst enemy so I hope this is the right path for me. Recently, another career path came into my consideration: the legal field. Not being a lawyer going to trial, per se, but the law aspect of things just interests me. I hope after taking different classes next semester, I will realize my interests and go down a career path that I enjoy and take interest in. But overall, I just want to have a steady cash flow that I can spend casually and live comfortably with with my family.
Career Goals (Christine Shin)
I don’t know exactly what I want to do in the future, but my main concern or goal would definitely be to be happy. Of course I want to be successful and make tons of money but I’m okay with living somewhat comfortably and being happy. I see myself with a family someday, great husband, three kids? I’d be very happy with that.

Right now I’m still stuck on choosing what area I want to major in, forget about career. Personally, I’d go with whatever makes me money, even if I don’t enjoy it, but I don’t want to be a “one trick pony” – only good at one thing but sucks at everything else. But I guess as long as my hobbies keep expanding, it’ll be alright. I wanted to major in programming at first, but since it’s too tedious to look into transferring, something in the Business area will do.

In the future, I’d like to see myself as the head of a large company/corporation/etc. I am not sure how realistic this is, but I am planning to go down this path anyway. I am going to major in human resource management because I want to manage a company, but deal with the people aspect of it. I might to a minor in psychology because I feel like this is fits nicely with my major. However, for all this to happen, I need to make it into the business school first, and with all the math that involved to get there, I’m sure it’ll be a rocky road ahead.
Career Goals – Lance Zar
Throughout my life, i have thought alot of what i want to do with myself past school. I always look into the future, making up different creative plans and ideas on how to pursue my life. I have a very exact and complex view for my future, so i will try to give a brief summary for this blog. When i turn 21, i want to be on the reality TV show Big Brother. I love the show and i think it is perfect for me. The skills required to be successful on this show are skills that i know i possess. After to show, i hope to be a little more well known. Obviously not an A-lister, but more than i am today. After college, i hope to start working for my father and get used to the real working world. From that point i just have to follow my heart and see where the world takes me. Hopefully it will all work out. Much love.

Michael Jemal – My Career Goal$
My future goals are very possible and realistic. They say to dream big, and that’s I what I always. Anything is possible if you are determined to reach that goal. In the future after college I hope work in a high position in a field that I really enjoy working in. I want to start a family and make enough money to support it. I am think maybe to work somewhere in real estate but I am not really sure what I want to do for sure. I just know that I want to do something that I love, because if I do something that I love it isn’t work. I would like to make a good amount of money as time goes on. I want to reach a high position in a firm and be the best I could be.
